Description

This is a short demo album with a quite raw performance. It was recorded at home with a crappy cellphone microphone and built-in soundcard. I did my best to improve the sound but still certain range of frequencies is missing. My apologies to audiophiles :-)

Instruments : 7 tines kalimba, 15 tines kalimba, flute, jews harp, didgeridoo.

Percussions : bells, shakers, tambourine, tabla, leather darbuka, plastic darbuka.

No electronic sounds were used on this recording.

It feels fine to hear acoustic instruments played with this attack and edge. It's really rocking and you can hear every little sound. Even when there is no sound you feel the pulse and that's just mesmerizing! No "far out" compositions, but a musical performance that is truly moving. As always is the case with good minimalistic music you "hear" more music than the score would actually display if written down. To me that is very ejoyable.

It seems that I am running out of great words to describe your work. I just finished listening to this album while solving my mathematics sums and HEY!!
These songs opened up my mind and I was able to solve them in double quick time!
The instrumental beats were very nice. This certainly is my kind of music. The beats often remind me of the beats of 'tabla'. I am able to digest such music very easily !! Vargan Solo was new to me as it was played using a Jews Harp and I had never heard that before. Bliss and For Danielle are my favorite tracks.

I think For Danielle is in 3 Metallophones Solos also. But both of them though similar are very distinctive. Both of them great !!!

Another wonderful album by SaReGaMa! This music makes you travel, it is full of respect for nature, people, life. Enjoyable, especially the overtone mouth harp (jews harp) and didgeridoo sounds combined with the kalimba.

It seems that SaReGaMa has been quite a good discovery tonight. After being delighted with the Metallophone solos, I decided to give a try to Instrumental Works, to find an album that gave me the feeling that I was not getting for a long time, the feeling of "music-that-makes-mind-travel". Right now I am listening again, sitting and doing nothing (but writing). If I close the eyes, the music can help me to abstract myself from where am I and what am I doing. I specially got that feeling with Fly Agaric Trance. After listening to this album, I feel like dig in my drawer and find my Jews Harp! Pity that I cannot play it nicely.

12 works of Hercules SaReGaMa. I'm waiting for the missing 6... ;-)

One thing I didn't like is track no. 3 "For Danielle" - it's too plain and simple.

I always love to hear different sounds.

This album, is really relaxing, yes it makes you travel and i loved the "waves" sounds. It feels like summer afternoon, when the sun begins to drop and you are relaxing @ the beach watching the sky and thinking of nothing.

The only drawback for me, was the last track. Not exactly my taste of music.

Very good work !!! Looking forward for more
