Polaris: Polaris (EP)

Die ersten fünf Stücke von Polaris

 

Im November 2006 nahmen Velvet Blue und Gasher G.14 die ersten fünf Stücke zum Polaris-Projekt auf. Das Konzept ist einfach: Gasher G.14 bastelt auf einfachen Kadenzen einige elektronische Beats, Velvet Blue singt dazu englischsprachige Texte – alles andere ist Freiheit und Improvisation.

 

Die erste EP mit dem schlichten Titel »Polaris« beinhaltet fünf Songs, wobei »From Black To Green« ein vertontes Gedicht des Ausnahmekünstlers Pedi Vathor ist.

With lips that flee

strokes my cheeks with lashes
like hummingbirds wings
then the grip
grows faster

striding, hunting, targetting, shooting

5. From Black To Green

 

Green is hope and black's the death
controlling my own destiny
paint myself green, the rescue rope
to grow my self-defending hope
I'll close my eyes to see the truth
I'll shut my mouth to speak no ruth
lay myself down to sleep in peace
lie to myself to have no grief
inside the fruit of innocence
there is no false, death's decadence
all things you do are justified
as long you've no other chance
all life of one will find its end
though we can't finnish to pretend
that there's a game behind the game
therefore we feel a mortel shame
