Le projet Musetta est né en 1998 lorsque se sont croisés les destins de Matteo Curcio et Marinella Mastrosimone.
Le parcours du duo est éclectique : si Matteo Curcio se rapproche de la scène électronique alors qu’il fréquente la Scuola Civica de Jazz de Milan, Marinella Mastrosimone, elle, découvre le rock progressif italien des années 70 et la musique classique indienne, approfondissant ses études en Inde, à la Benares Hindustani University. L’électronique est un moyen et non une fin pour les Musetta : instruments réels, samples ou instruments virtuels trouvent tout autant leur place dans leur musique. La passion du duo pour le cinéma d’animation, le film noir et la science-fiction contribue à la définition d’une esthétique originale qui habille tant leurs productions que leurs concerts.

Ein Jazz-Song im Stil der 30er-Jahre mit einer wirklich schönen Schmelzstimme, die den teilweise starken Einsatz von Hall überhaut nicht nötig gehabt hätte, zumal dieser nicht unbedingt zu dieser musikalischen Zeitreise passt
