Insomniance is a series of short tone poems. It was recorded and mixed in about two weeks, except for the title track which happened on a sleepless night in May.
Each track (and each track within) was a first take, often of some random and lucid impromptu. I can't say I left in the mis-takes, because there were never any intentions.
I did spend some time with a software editor, and so there are some layers and effects on most tracks. Others were direct line-in to my computer from my acoustic or electric pickups, through my amp, 1/4" TRS out to RCAs, to 1/8" unbalanced mini.
I've learned a lot about digital recording since, and plan to do something better with these and also record new ideas.
I hope, given the proper setting and state of mind, that these pensive bagatelles will offer you some quiet serenity and peaceful reflection.
