Wissenswertes
Philippe-Aubert Gauthier is a junior mechanical engineer, master in sciences and Ph.D. in acoustics. Since 2003, he works on spatial sound, sound field reproduction and loudspeaker arrays.
P.-A. Gauthier is also a self-taught sound artist devoted to sound installation, performance, electroacoustic music, acousmatice music, electronic music, reading and writing. He's working on on many collaborative projects with Tanya St-Pierre since 2001.
In 2007, his work had been presented at Spark Festival (Weisman Art Museum, Minneapolis, USA), Fine Art Museum of Sherbrooke (with T. St-Pierre) (Canada), Pure-Data Convention Montréal 2007 (sound installation at Concordia University) (Canada), Art Nomade (Chicoutimi, Canada), Oops (Trois-Rivières, Canada). His sound or music work for fixed media had been presented on radio in Canada, USA, France and Europe.
