NEU: SOLANUM wurde veröffentlicht!Die Musik von DIE SCHATTEN läßt sich schlecht mit einer der gängigen Stilbezeichnungen fassen. Sie selbst bezeichnen die Musik als Mystic-Dark-Pop. Das Besondere ist die Mischung aus schwebenden Synthesizersounds, ungewöhnlichen Samples und der kraftvollen Gitarre. DIE SCHATTEN verarbeiten in Ihrer Musik Einflüsse aus Alternative Pop, Trip Hop, Electronic und Klassik. Die düster-romantische Symbolik der Schatten-Texte unterscheidet sich vom Durchschnitts-Deutsch-Pop anderer Dark-Wave- oder RockBands. Musik und Text (deutsch!) schaffen eine Atmosphäre, erfüllt von Gefühlen von Traurigkeit, Nachdenklichkeit und Wut.
2009: DIE SCHATTEN just quits a long artistic creation break and working on new material. On this occasion DIE SCHATTEN have published the old music again (on jamendo). Finally the new album Solanum has been released in july 2009.
