The band was born during a delirious morning of Claudio, the guitar player, who decide to call his singer Jacopo, to propose him to form an acustic duo, to rediscover the intimate and acestral dimension of the unplugged music. But two peoplo are not a band...three people are...so an other old and good friend join this weired "Fellowship of the Ring", Marco...just to give that tribal rhythmic magic...
Then fnnally the acustic experimentation begin, rebirth from the ashes of the last musical experiences of the three, who decide to share feelings, delirios and entropy just for the pure curiosity to see what happens.......
After some months the first songs have been written: a mixture of Radiohead, Ben Harper, Marta sui Tubi and some memories of the hard rock childhood of this three crazy minds. The lyrics are inspired by their vision of the world, so full of insecurity and with its lack of certainties, where the masses search for a sanctuary in packaged and decorated truths...the refusal of written truths becomes acceptance of a relativistic vision of the society, in which every mind interprets the surrounding system in a different way from the others....
Their story continues in the streets...they played in the streets of their own city, Milan, in France and Budapest. In the streets they can find the origin of music, the ancestral and inner nature of the vagabond artist....
In the end of 2010 a new member enters the band, a young Spanish violinist, Anabel, new sounds are going to join the experimentation....But the story goes on without Anabel and the band become a trio again.
Little by little they start to play in many stages in their city, Milan, but also in the streets of many cities, from France, Germany, Hungary, Switzerland and Milan. Wherever they can find a corner to make alive thanks to the original concept of musician that they love, the street musician. On 2012 the new album, "Del Perduto Equilibrio" is recorded at Pathwaves Studio and released. New sounds have been experimented thanks to the participation of special guests (violin, cello and mandolin from I re della Cantina). We hope this will be the turning point!

I Koyaanis nascono durante un delirio mattutino di Claudio, chitarrista, che decide di richiamare il suo cantante di sempre Jacopo, per proporgli un duo acustico per riscoprire la dimensione intima e ancestrale della musica unplugged. Ma in due non si è un gruppo…in tre sì…e allora alla compagnia dell'anello de no'artri si aggiunge la percussione di un amico di vecchia data, Marco, che dà quel tocco ritmico un po' tribale che mancava al ormai ex-duo. Ed allora inizia finalmente la sperimentazione acustica, rinascita dalle ceneri delle ultime esperienze musicali dei tre, che decidono di mettere in comune sensazioni, deliri ed entropia per la pura curiosità di vedere cosa succede…
Passano i primi mesi e nascono i primi pezzi originali: un misto di Radiohead, Ben Harper, Marta sui Tubi e reminescenze dell'infanzia hard rock di questi scapestrati. I testi si ispirano alle loro visioni del mondo, così incerto e privo di sicurezze, in cui le masse si rifugiano in verità impacchettate e infiocchettate…il rifiuto delle scritture si trasforma in accettazione di una visione relativistica del mondo, in cui ogni mente interpreta il sistema che lo circonda in maniera differente dagli altri…
A cavallo tra il 2010 e il 2011 reclutano una violinista spagnola, Anabel, con cui riescono a registrare alcuni brani di un loro vecchio demo, rispolverato per l'occasione. Ma la loro storia li porta ancora una volta ad essere un trio…
Pian piano iniziano a suonare oltre che nei locali della propria città, Milano, anche nelle sue strade, per poi spostarsi in quelle della Francia, di Budapest, della Germania, insomma…dove capita. Nella strada e dalla strada nasce la musica nell'accezione più intima del termine, quella dell'artista vagabondo…quella in cui meglio riescono a identificarsi…
Nel febbraio 2012 esce finalmente il loro secondo demo: Del Perduto Equilibrio. Il titolo si ispira al significato del loro nome, Koyaanis, che significa squilibrio, appunto. Le tracce sono il frutto di nuove sperimentazioni, con l'aggiunta di nuovi strumenti, violini, violoncelli, mandolini e flauti. La registrazione fatta allo studio Pathwaves speriamo segni un punto di svolta per la band...
