Subterrestrial is a dark ambient/experimental music project from the San Francisco Bay Area. Most Subterrestrial releases are concept albums which explore various themes or tell a story through music. Subject matter includes hollow earth and esoteric themes, unexplainable phenomenon and the mysteries of the universe. Subterrestrial focuses mainly on ambient and drone music, but does branch out into a variety of experimental musical styles from time to time. Subterrestrial has released a number of creative commons netaudio albums on various netlabels, as well as physical releases and compilation appearances.
