Hi,

I'm Venry Peace, composer of the music up here. Actually I already started composing my own music in the late '80s, playing the flute and messing a bit with little casio keyboard. It was a rather depressing time in my life as far as I can remember. In fact, I still remember it very well... Also the music which I composed expressed that same feeling. For the rest it was really nothing special at all, but the feeling behind it was very inspiring. The sad periods in my life might have been the most inspiring indeed. Later on, I bought a Roland keyboard, which I still use at the moment in fact.

In the early '90s, I started to discover the possibillities of Cubase and Atari, in combination with a Roland Super Quartet MKS-7 and my Roland Keyboard. Lots of complicated compostions of mine have been realised with this equipment. But in a moment when I didn't expect it, the monitor of the Atari-computer stopped working and at that moment I wasn't so familiar yet with internet for instance and it seemed to be difficult to find a solution for the problem. In the second half of the '90s, I was able to buy a new "music-computer" with a terractec EWS64-XL soundcard in it. Thanks to this computer, I had been able to recover some of my old music, but not everything for sure, because of compatibility-problems with some Atari-formatted disks. Somehow, I lost allmost all intererest in music for more than a decade since then. It sounds a bit weird maybe, because I finally had this great computer in order to realise my first digital recordings but nothing happened.

2008 became a more inspiring period for me again finally. I found back my interest in music and composing. I rediscovered the music which I had been composing. I even bought an old second-handed atari-screen again. It allowed me to solve the problem and save all earlier music on a harddrive. I burnt my first cd ever and I called it "Reflections" ; +70 minutes of music composed in the '90s.

It seemed to be the beginning of a new music-story. And I started composing again. This time I discovered the possibilities of Cakewalk Sonar and its software-synths inside. This seems to be a rather technical explanation of what has been going on. But I can guarantuee that there's more feeling behind it than anyone can imagine. After all, it's all about "feelings" and being able to translate those feelings into music.... if possible - and then hoping that it will result in good music.
