Laurent Maudoux met Jeremy Monteiro in 1982, a few days after his birth, since they are cousins. They lived a peaceful childhood in the country town of Roanne in central France where they were born. At first they were rocked unconsciously to the technotronic dance music in fashion at the time, but very soon they grew passionate about such groups as the Pixies and Sonic Youth.

They started their first rock band in 1997 when the rest of the planet swore only by trance and free party. Listening to artists such as Zoot Woman / Digital Rhythms or Aphex Twin, they began including electronic instruments in their music at the beginning of the 2000s as part of a quartet: an electro-pop group with 1980s reflections. This unstable group based in the city of Lyon would see its members come and go and would not resist the strokist revival of the moment.

In 2007, Laurent and Jeremy left Lyon and established themselves in Marseilles with the Accident project already in mind and with the dream of a new life. They immersed themselves in new wave sounds, with its reference to an idealized past. (Tears for Fears, Visage, OMD…) A resolutely modern music that would become the motor of their creativity. By the end of 2008, they had prepared a dozen titles in their home studio and decided to self-produce an album, which they released in August 2010.
