Mi chiamo Eugenia e sono nata a Palermo… qualche anno fa! Starlaband è il nome con cui firmo la mia musica.

Ho imparato a suonare la chitarra da autodidatta ascoltando i dischi di James Taylor, Stefan Grossman, i Beatles…

Intorno ai venti anni ho iniziato a fare esperienza di musica dal vivo. Grazie ad un annuncio lasciato nella bacheca dell’università fui contattata dal leader di un gruppo rock palermitano per suonare la chitarra ritmica, ma dopo poco il bassista fu costretto a lasciare la band per cause di forza maggiore, così io presi il suo posto. Successivamente ho iniziato a studiare anche pianoforte e infine le tastiere.

E’ da più di dieci anni che scrivo musica mia, curo gli arrangiamenti e la registro nel mio piccolo studio casalingo.

Attualmente suono basso, chitarra acustica e tastiere in parecchi progetti musicali (che hanno lo stesso leader, il mio amico Fabio!), la cui musica spazia dall’hard rock al rock melodico, blues, rock’n’roll!

Riguardo alla mia musica, fonti di ispirazione sono lo smooth jazz di Ken Navarro e Lee Ritenour e ovviamente James Taylor!

Di recente mi sto dedicando anche alla realizzazione di videoclip dei miei pezzi montanto slideshow di foto con riprese video.

Hello my name is Eugenia and I was born in Palermo…some years ago! Starlaband is my myspace nick. I self-learned to play the classic guitar when I was 13 after listening James Taylor and Stefan Grossman. When I was 20, I begun playing for the first time in various Pub in my city, entering the world of live music. In that periode I was contacted by a Rock Band in Palermo to play rhythm guitar, but when the bassist left the group, I begun playing the bass. Later I begun playing the piano and keyboards as well. It’s ten years I write my own music, the arrangements, and I record it in the little studio in my home. Right now I play bass, acoustic guitar and keyboards in three different groups (the leader of these bands is my dear friend Fabio!). I am inspired by Ken Navarro and Lee Ritenour’s smooth Jazz, by James Taylor’s melodies and by the power of Blues. ..
