Blue Identity is a band created to provide music to the multidisciplinary project The Scotsmen’s Tavern, where more than twenty artists (writers, designers, musicians,…) contribute, each with their particular vision, to a virtual world in ‘any tavern, situated near any port’.

Blue Identity comprises:

• Tom Macintosh (vocals)
• Rafael Redondo” Vali” (guitar)
• Eme Navarro (guitar)
• Chema Tornero (keyboards)
• Varian Villanueva (bass)
• Mariana Hernández (drummer)
• Paul Rigg (manager)

The band was formed at the end of 2008, with Eme and Varian as the first members, as both had come from a previous group, The Homeless Bones. Mariana joined shortly after, and after a casting with only one candidate, Tom was welcomed as vocalist. Vali joined at the start of 2009 and with this line-up the group started to work on new songs and gave the first concerts. Finally at the start of 2010, Chema joined the band, and with this addition, the current line-up was completed.

Our creative philosophy, as with the whole of the ‘Scotsmen’s Tavern’ project, is devolutionist. This means that we are not supporters of the current cultural business model that exists today, based on an oligarchy of large record producers. In place of that, Blue Identity believe that sharing is the best way to create, and to contribute to others who create. For that reason, the material that you will find on this page is registered under a devolutionist licence and you are free to download it, copy it, share it and even market it. The only thing we require is that you acknowledge the source of the material.
