SKOMOROSHIJ BUNT (REVOLUTION OF CLOWNS) is formed in April of 2005 as " the special musical project " for shootings a film-serial "The Young Wolfhound", and consisted from two person: Alexander Kasatkin, the leader semi-folk, semi-bard group “Zabava” (“the ENTERTAINMENT”) and Viktor Zakharov, the leader of a cult Yaroslavl rock group “Neizvestnaja Zemlya” (“TERRA INCOGNITA”/”the UNKNOWN LAND”).
Kasatkin sang and played on a psaltery, Zakharov too sang and twisted wheel lyre (or sang and "rustled" percussion). In May some songs have been written down. Except for shootings in film, happens already two in the summer In May some songs have been written down. Except for shootings in film, happens performances: on regional show and at "Festival of the Author's Orthodox Song".
Three songs and some folk tunes have entered into final edition of film in performance by SB. Among them a song "Hero" on Maria Semyonova's verses (She is famous Russian fantasy writer).
In October, to the project came the singer of Cossack chorus Eugenie Bobkov. Now the project (or already group?) looks so:
Alexander Kasatkin - a vocal, a psaltery, kazoo;
Viktor Zakharov - a vocal, перкуссия (a shaker, a tambourin, a drum with a pedal), kazoo;
Eugenie Bobkov - a vocal, wheel lyre, kazoo.
Almost all music and words - author's. Somewhere so: Kasatkin - 60 %, Potyomkin - 40 % of a material. In repertoir SB more than 20 songs. The Most part has entered into an album "National idea".
What style? Yes… Who knows, goodness knows. All here has mixed: and folk, and the rock, and something bard (minnesinger, troubadour, menestrel), now still and the Cossack singing floating and also assimilates. More shortly – SKOMOROSHESTVO ;-).
