Minus Clay is the brainchild of Simon Lanciaux, who plays the guitar and does the programming under the nickname of Mushead in a band called Dolores. Minus Clay was started as a way to show people what Mushead could do with only an accoustic guitar, his voice, and a few cheap softwares, and also to make people understand how depressed he felt at the time he recorded those songs. More information can be found on his myspace page. Today, Simon Lanciaux still makes music with Dolores, and electronica with #2 Orchestra and Mercutio's Dead. His record of demos was issued by Caravan/CLoud, and can be bought via paypal on their website.
