Laid Back and Lazy Jazz

"INVOCATIO" The lonely Saxophone played deep, soothing Jazz based melodies with the all expected slowly paces soft percussion. The warmth of the saxophone had a slow melting effect. I enjoyed the slowness, the relaxed feel and the no hurry, no worry mood. This is jazz to laze to. "CANTUS" The electric piano and percussion seemed to work as a team to develop the steady Jazz themes. The percussion dominated much of the early part of the piece. The pace, though generally slowly moving was a little forced by the often heavier form of the percussion. The randomness in the keyboard melody I found uplifting and so much a part of the laid back form of the genre. A wonderfully lazy, laid back Jazz style that is so Jazz club based and wonderful to hear in this post 90s era. This is probably not the music to listen to if you need to get somewhere in a hurry. This is the style of music to listen to when you have arrived. A great mood setter, but not sure if it would be what I would listen to in a thunderstorm.

Sublime compositional creativity.I can hear that lazy patter of rain on the window pane and see the nameless, hunched up,scurry by into the oblivion that is distance.Melancholic and a sweet delight....delicate in it's brevity..Recommended.
