Meine erste Entdeckung auf Jamendo und gar nicht mal so übel. Da geht man gleich mit und fragt sich woher man das wohl kennt. Es kommt einem irgendwie bekannt vor und später machts dann *klick*: St. Anger Das ist aber durchaus positiv gemeint. Wer auf Hard Rock bis Metal steht sollte auf alle Fälle mal reinhören.

Un très bon album rock ! Toutes ces musiques sont très belles, très sympas à écouter, très festives. L'isntrumentation est celle de base pour un groupe de rock (guitare-basse-batteire). La voix est belle et energique. Le son est propre, bien enregistré. Très bon travail.

Ah, Mein erster Gedanke: Endlich ein Heavy Metal-Album. ;-) Und ich wurde nicht enttäuscht, satte Gitarren-Riffs, dicker Bass oder kurzum - einfach GEIL! Von mir ein "Daumen hoch!", gehört in jede Plattensammlung. PS: Gut zum Headbangen, die Jungs gehen bestimmt auch live richtig ab.

Listening to ARAI in a very pleasant way reminded me of those sunny days of my youth when I spent week by week with music by bands like Helloween, Running Wild, Judas Priest or Accept. To me, this seems right the kind of music ARAI are about to do, and the fact that they're some decades late in that style doesn't change their music to the worse. They do melodic, intense heavy metal in the best meaning of the words, driven forth by powerful drumming, melodic guitar lines and vocals that do express a very original, rough singing style (which really is effective in conjunction with the Spanish lyrics). Overally, "SOCIEDAD ENFERMA" is not an album to reinvent any musical genre or style, but it's just an enjoyable piece of music listening to. These guys know what they do, and they know how to build effective songs that just emit power without sounding too much "old-school" or oldfashioned. If metal is on your musical menu, then ARAI is some band you surely should check out - I'm curious to see how they'll move on, how their next releases will sound like.

Aus Spanien stammt diese Band und weiß mit flotten und technisch ansprechenden Heavy Metal zu überzeugen. Auch der Sänger passt absolut ins Standard Bild, klingt aber sehr angenehm, da er nie zu sehr ins Klischee-Gejaule abdriftet, wie es doch immer wieder bei anderen Vertretern dieser Richtung der Fall ist. Und so dröhnen hier extrem melodische und auch leichtverdauliche Heavy Metal / Power Metal Songs aus den Boxen, unterlegt von spanischen Gesängen. Die Band hat ein gutes Händchen für Melodien und weiß auch technisch anspruchsvollere Elemente in die Songs einzubauen ohne sich dabei in technisch wirren Songstrukturen zu verlieren.
