Każdy kto wysłuchał przynajmniej kilku płyt jazzowych, doskonale zdaje sobie z tego sprawę, że tylu ilu jest artystów tego gatunku, tyleż samo jest odmian tej szlachetnej muzyki. Nie bez powodu przypominam tą starą prawdę - Reno Project to zespół który wypracował własne brzmienie i własny styl. Choć zapewne znajdą się malkontenci, którzy pokręcą nosem z powodu zbyt małej ilości improwizowanych zagrywek czy ogólnego "braku rewolucji" w przedstawionym materiale. Jestem przekonany, że koncertowo muzyka z "1.0" wypada jeszcze lepiej, ponieważ konstrukcja aranżacyjna tych utworów pozwala na sporą swobodę i daje niemałe możliwości koncertowe. Celowo nie zdradzę instrumentarium zawartego na tym albumie - niech to będzie niespodzianka - wspaniała harmonia oraz dialogi instrumentalne plus niepowtarzalny klimat, z pewnością nie pozwolą wam się oderwać od głośników przez najbliższą godzinę. Nie wiem czy odniesiecie podobne wrażenie, ale niektóre z kompozycji swoją konstrukcją i spokojnym klimatem nawiązują do aranżacji zawartych na płytach Camel. Mam tutaj na myśli np. "The Field". Jednak moim ulubionym "kawałkiem" na tej płycie jest... sam nie wiem - czasem powtarzam po kilka razy "Urban", po to by za chwilę "katować" do upadłego "Hot Street". Moim zdaniem, jest to jeden z lepszych albumów na stronie Jamendo. Polecam wszystkim, ale przede wszystkim ludziom, którzy zajmują się muzyką zawodowo - słuchajcie i uczcie się - nie kaleczcie już więcej radiowych anten Denzelami, Dodą czy inną elektrodą. Frais, dynamique, cet album donne envie de bouger. Superbe de rythme, les pistes glissent les unes après les autres; c'est une eau bien fraiche que l'on boit avec délectation. La basse et la flute sont magnifiques, j'ai adoré. Vu que ce 1er album porte le numéro 1.0, je suppose qu'il y aura une suite. Je l'espère en tout cas, c'est toujours un plaisir que d'écouter des albums de cette qualité.

Bellissimo album, tecnicamente ineccepibile, ritmato ma rilassante. Consigliato come sottofondo per le serate estive con gli amici sorseggiando un drink :)

Jazz is about style and improvisation - to get the immediate "the moment" to fit into a tought through context. Usually one of the two dominates the other. But here you have a nice example, when harmony and improviation balance well!!

J'aime bien ce type de JAZZ. Sonorité de la rythmique agréable et flûte traversière planant au dessus extra. L'emploi d'un enchaînement d'accords récurrent est peut être un peu trop systématique. Vu le niveau musical de cet album, on pourrait s'attendre à être un peu plus emmené dans des changements ou marches harmoniques qui nous permettrait de "voir du paysage" et jouer à "cache cache" avec le thème initial pour y revenir en fin de morceau de manière magistrale. Bref, ce type d'album a toute sa place en page d'accueil de JAMENDO pour de longs mois (plus que certains albums criards ou de "piano solo" un peu plats). Mais bon, les goûts et les couleurs...
