This album was originally released in 2003. We finally got around to releasing it on Jamendo in April 2008.

Here is the original description of our album written by a friend in 2003:

Wild spirited teenagers surprise themselves decades later with this CD of close harmonies, true stories and adventures reflecting their love for life and each other.

They've made old men cry, and young women laugh, and vice versa. Their music, while almost all acoustic, is diverse in styles, from instrumental to A cappella, from story songs and love ballads to quirky autobiographical tales. After 30 years of singing harmonies and writing songs together, Lindalou and Michael finally released their first collection of recordings including 5 songs by other favorite writers including Christopher Smith, Dave Carter and Loudon Wainwright III. Often requested when Lindalou and Michael perform are "The Endless Mile" by Julie Snow and "The Bramble And The Rose" by Barbara Keith, also on the album. But it's their original songs that tell their stories and open up their journals, should you care to take a listen.

Also playing on this album are Christopher Smith on mandolin and banjo, Terry Ann Gillette on fiddle and violin, Doug Harman on cello, Jimmy Bunch on dobro and Darryl Webb plays drums, bass and electric guitar on one track.

Songs co-written by Lindalou and Michael Ryge, except track 3 by Dave Carter, track 4 by Barbara Keith, track 8 by Julie Snow, track 10 by Christopher Smith and track 12 by Loudon Wainwright III. Only tracks written by Lindalou and Michael and Christopher Smith are available on Jamendo due to copyright. The other tracks are available along with the full album, for sale, or listening to clips on our CD Baby page.

We hope you'll check it out and consider buying the album! Thanks for supporting independent musicians!

Here is the track list from the original album:

  1. Beginner's Luck
  2. Code of Kindness
  3. Gentle Arms of Eden
  4. Bramble & the Rose
  5. No Expectations
  6. McNevin's Toothache
  7. See Us Through
  8. The Endless Mile
  9. Strawberry Jam
  10. Apple Sauce
  11. Nothing Missing
  12. Between
  13. Alderly Edge
  14. Dueling Sofas
  15. Wait and See
  16. I Don't Mind
  17. McNevin's Toothache Reprise

Note: This album is actually much better when you can hear all the songs on the original album. If you enjoy the songs we've written and posted here, please take the time to at least listen to the clips of the songs we payed royalties to record.

Thanks again for listening! Enjoy!

Wow. I seldomly heard the first track of an album and knew from the point away that I had to get it. The joyful and calm feeling this album provides is just wonderful. I'd love to hear it played live. Especially the flute part is relaxing and adds a touch of folk.

Tja, was soll ich sagen?
