Very beautiful gem of post-rock here. Rooted in the classical sound of mono-explosions in the sky of two guitars, bass and drums, the music moves you within several emotional realms. The musicianship and recording quality are excellent. The mood is very much in the Mono vein of nostalgic/apocalyptic sadness. The drummer remembers me easily of the explosions in the sky's drummer with his heavy use of martial snare drumming. Some tracks (mainly "3x3+2" and "Rien pour l'instant") remembers also me of Kid-A/Amnesiac epoch Radio-head. My favourite song of the EP is "Scorpion Rouge, avec Dolph Lundgren", because the beginning is more light/upbeat and less doomy overtly dramatic. Apart from being short in size, the only criticism I have on this disc is that music gets VERY predictable at times, following all the overused clichés of post-rock such as obvious crescendos and explosions (very much in the Mono fashion), specially on tracks "Lichen A" and "Rien pour l'instant"). Overall, a very pleasant and thoughtful album that sets for a very enjoyable listen. Keep up the good work!

C'est vrai que ce qui m'a fait écouter l'album c'est d'abord le nom du groupe. Et puis voila, on s'envole... les pistes sont suffisament longues pour laisser se développer en douceur(?) toute la puissance du son, planant et parfois aggressif, il n'y a aucune fausse touche. Bref, tout ça est bien maitrisé, du pur post rock classique mais sacrément efficace... Voir aussi dans la même veine l'album Contemplate de GDM sur jamendo

Vraiment très bien écrit et réalisé ... une petite touche de Nihil et de Kaolin dans les atmosphères qui vous font parfois frissonner et réver ... Merci et Bravo !!!

Nice, i am listening mainly to rock(many flavours), metal(as with rock), now starting to discover some electronic sound in ambient music. I like first tracks kinda much, calm ones, let's say atmosphere built with three of them got crushed with fourth one, still this demo looks good. Worth to listen.

Voila de la bonne musique rock progressif comme je l'aime, qui prends le temps de se poser. Des guitares planantes, j'aime tout ca, ( et je fais de la musique un peu pareil si ca intéresse quelqu'un). Tout est bien en place. Le moins : l'enregistrement pourrait etre mieux, notamment la batterie c'est la partie qui fait la plus "amateur" je veux dire au niveau du son. Ce qui explique que je ne mets pas 10.

Instrumental post-rock based on guitars with a)lots of delay, b)lots of distortion or c)both. Comparisons to Explosions In The Sky are inevitable. However, this not a carbon copy. The ideas behind the songs are good, and the textures and production are enjoyable. 3x3+2 has quite a refreshing feel, and I would like to see more odd time signatures in this style of music. I feel that some of the ideas on this demo linger for too long, and the progress of the songs feels formulaic. If you listen to EITS songs you can hear that all the instruments progress together, rather than mostly looping around while one guitarist leads to the next theme. The full album "Lovely Girls Are Blind" improved on this, and it is nice to go back and hear how the band has evolved.

Trés bon album, des mélodies douces, et melancoliques, vous laisse vous porter tout au long que la musique coule... vraiment bon album! je file ecouter le second ;)

Un album très agréable à écouter où le poids des influences ne le cède en rien à l'inventivité et à l'inspiration... petit bémol sur "rien pour l'instant" qui est un cran en dessous des autres j'ai l'impression.
