Just as original as Missing Host Band's first album, Dusk Gazing. For now it doesn't look as great as its predecessor, but that may change as I listen to it a little more. Still, another great job by Missing Host Band (great name, by the way :D) and well worth a careful listen. I actually like Cutting Moon a lot, despite critics by previous reviewers...

Es ist wie ein regen aus Kieselsteinen, es drückt einen runter, aber komischer weise lacht man, vielleicht auch aus verzweiflung, wiederrum fühlt man sich aber wohl dabei... einfach wundervolles album :) dieser noise-touch in vielen songs ist unschlagbar und ist auch ein grosser grund meiner "positiven" kritik, leider kommt er in vielen songs zu kurz meines erachtens

Dark post rock? ok.. It’s experimental, I agree but it’s not THAT dark… Generally it is full of amiable sounds and interesting melodies ( however very much deconstructed, see boring razor for example). The compositions are weird (this is a compliment ;-) only sometimes the production doesn’t fit in, e.g. too plastic and midi drums clashed with an almost hard-rock riff simply deosn’t do the trick (cutting moon). My favourite tracks are mutine, especially the second part of it, when the riff, turntablism, lazy post-rock rhythm and vocal samples blends together into a really (post)modern music trip. The next recommendable piece is alchimie with IDM rhythm and almost calypso melody. I’ve got only one more remark: the tunes are too short. Take roam by rote for example chich begins extremely engaging, and then… it ends after half a minute. I think the composition into get some Tortoise-like length in order to evolve right. Despite these all drawbacks it’s still a nice LP to listen to. Stay cool, Galaktycznyzwiad.

Cet album m'a ramené à de nombreux souvenirs, autant à des bons et insouciants [ Boring Razor ] qu'à des durs et effrayants [ Cuting Moon ]. Cela en fait un album avec un univers étrange, quoiqu' attrayant. Bonne continuation A DECOUVRIR =)

für mein Geschmack zu düster, zu wirr, zu experimental. jedoch scheint es mir gut arrangiert zu sein. alles in allem sosolala...
