This single was made in 1983 by a college band in Wageningen, the Netherlands. The composition is by Rogier van den Brink. All players were members of a student association called CERES. CERES was celebrating its 105 anniversary, hence the title of the song: 105 Jive. The band usually did covers, from Kool and the Gang to the Blues Brothers, but this single was an original composition.

In 2008, a Spanish Internet TV series used 105 Jive as the title track to their series. They felt that their protagonist "Nulua" matched the mood of the girl described in 105 Jive. Check it out on: www.nulua.com
