Lively chanting-some parts deep, some parts festive. Excellent percussion....Nice dynamics.....some very nice moments captured here.If you are into kirtan,you should like this....

I'm not a krishna devotee myself, but I enjoy their chants & music, they're great! Those enchanting rhythms & sunny sounds make me smile :) Never mind SaReGaMa's review, the music is good, more than that - it's live in its mere essence. Thanks to to Atma Bhajan Band! I liked their performance as well.

Krishna goes all over!

Als ich das Album heute bei den Neueingängen entdeckte, habe ich gedacht: klasse, endlich mal Musik aus der indischen Ecke. Die Enttäuschung kam, als ich mir dann das Album anhörte. Gut gemeint, aber eben nicht gut gemacht. Schlechte Instrumentierung und im Vergleich mit ähnlichen spirituellen Produktionen auch wenig Atmosphäre. Wenigsten kann man sofort mitsingen, denn der Text ist bei allen vier Stücken gleich...(ja, ja ich weiß: das muss so sein, ist eben die festgelegte Form des Maha-Mantras). Warum man daraus aber ein Album machen muss, ist mir schleierhaft. Vielleicht als Ersatz im Sinne von "Gebetsmühlen"? Trotzdem verdient dieser Versuch, Musik dieser Stilrichtung bei Jamendo zu etablieren, uneingeschränktes Lob für die Atma Bhahan Band.

Un album qui nous fait découvrir des musiques différentes de celles occidentales, des musiques dont on a peu l'habitude d'écouter. Une instrumentation typique d'un pays, un rythme lent, des voix qui vont bien dans le style... Bref, pour moi c'est une totale découverte.
