... pour certains le jazz est une une chose à part ... ... avec ces quelques notes ... c'est tout le reste qu'on met de côté ... le temps d'une écoute ... au moins ... ... voir plus ... ... alors on y reste ... comme une pause éternelle ... ... la magie de ces meilleures moments que sont nos rencontres sonores ... espaces à demi-silencieux ... mieux que des petits points ... ce sont des traits d'union ... ... un grand merci ...

Bravo en premier lieu , Je découvre cet album , rare, que Nikila m'a conseillé . On est là dans le "Haute-Couture" du style, Rien n'est triché tout est joué , et comment !!! Je me suis laissé partir d'un Endroit à l'autre dans tous les catologues dont j'ai rêvé et connus une longue période : Andy Emler , Daniel Goyonne , le côté sophistiqué des ambiances Norvégiennes et Suédoise d'ECM , des ambiances à vous emmener loin très loin , une mélancolie profonde comme la reconnaîtront les amateurs qui ne se trompent pas , je suis cloué sur mon fauteuil. Nous avons à faire à des Grands ici à retenir : "Frédérique Trunk" Espagnols de surcroît , Mucho Gracias !!! Liberé , Viva dEl Musica, viva ...El Nuevo ESpana Jazz !!

The music on this album is beautiful, delicate, expressive, well composed, warm, slightly exotic with some eastern tang, and an overall abundance of delight. "Waha Jadida" - This piece has a beautiful exotic temperament, with the questing piano traveling along with some lovely indulgent string. The sublime feeling was of a gentle horseback trip down a less traveled road with beautiful sights and wonders to be seen and other senses to be intrigued. At the end we travel back, home, weary but contented and the warm breezes at our backs. "Nomade" - More traveling music. The nomad has the feet that want to move, the questing heart and the yearning for new sights and sounds. The beautiful quiet percussive ending of this piece, changing tempo, capturing the listener's interest was especially striking. "Where You There" - The very quiet intro of this jazzy piece includes a piano and wind, which gains in momentum and intensity, adding strings and percussion. Beautifully composed and performed. Overall an excellent album, delightfully spiced with jazzy and eclectic flavors, yet calming and intriguing.

This is a mezmerizing medititative world jazz sound, played by musicians of amazing talent. They are certainly in the same stellar regions of musicianship shared by the best artists on the ECM label, such as Keith Jarrett, Jan Garbarek, and Anouar Brahem. I only wish there was more!

This music opens my ear to new possibilities. It was engineered well: I hear all instruments with perfect clarity and balance. The sound takes my spirit to places I would love to visit while I'm still in my body :) The instrumentation is just sparse enough to allow cool breezes to flow through my thoughts. I look forward to hearing more, Frédérique Trunk. I would gladly pay to hear you and your band in person. Please come to San Francisco.
