I listened to this album a few days ago and then went on a three day trip. I couldn't get the songs out of my head for days!! I especially love the first song, "Sweet"!
I was very impressed with the diversity of the songs. Each song is like a new genre-- there's something for almost every music taste in this album. I listened to the whole album all the way through (which is very rare). There are many songs I love, a few that I like-- but none that I really don't like!!
It sounds like the artist is really exploring their sound. The songs sounded very well done. I remember reading that it's the same singer in all the songs (though I could be mistaken)-- I find it impressive how the voice sounds slightly different in each song from the different ways each song was sung.
Don't be confused by the somewhat simple album cover, this music is anything but simple! It's a wonderful, diverse album-- you can tell it's a good album when the songs don't blend into one another!
Keep up the great work! This is a truly wonderful, and impressive album!!
nice pop songs with psychedelic elements (echo, slight distortions) -
west-coast flair (Quicksilver ?) - nicely drifting and flowing
- sometimes neil young style guitar and rythm with desparado singing
-nice to hear in the afternoon, while sitting on the porch and watching the big thrashers - modern european country (?? - without fiddle!!)
One of the few albums where every song is special! Melody, text and voice vary a lot but always match perfectly and the timbre sometimes sends shivers down my spine (e.g.in "patiently").
Just brilliant :-)
J'ai particulièrement aimé Patiently et Hotel of love.
Comme il dit si bien : "For me only one rule is important : makin’ really simple songs ". On veut bien le croire.
This is an all-around great album with impressive musical range and clever lyrics that make you sit up and listen, and then have you singing along the second time you hear them.
