These are three tracks inspired by Sarah Kane's final play, 4.48 Psychosis.  Some bits of her text are incorporated into the music.

First off, I have never heard of the inspiration behind this music, let alone read the book, seen the play or whatever. To me music is music, it is good , bad or indifferent according to what the individual makes of it. That said, what do I make of this...... Track one is delightful, an absorbing opening which sounded reassuringly familiar on first hearing. On second hearing I went back 25 years to The Cure and their Carnage Visors soundtrack. Some spoken, breathy "vocals" follow which enhance the piece and help create a beautiful, tranquil setting for what is to come. Onto the second track and the theme continues. The music takes on a repetitive tone and strikes deep into you and your subconscious. Just part of its compelling eloquence.... and still more to come.... Track three carries on, initially, in the same vein before the pace and volume start to increase a little. I think I need more time to digest this track fully but I accept it will reach me in a positive way with future playings. All in all a credit to those concerned. Thanks to everyone involved and also to Mary for recommending it to me.

Psychotic and Artistic

4:48scene - an ominous tone and beat, the whispers of despair set the mood and atmosphere of dank loneliness and mental imprisonment. This piece is not indifferent to the sufferer. A tension stretches the silence between beats. 4:48therapist_scenes - the tension rises but there is hope and trepidation and anger and a loosing grip. 4:48end I cannot tell you how it ends. You need to listen and interpret it for yourself. Maybe it won't surprise you This album is very unique, interactive, thoughtful and poetic. I believe that the artist, Ladybird Disassemble, has great empathy and understanding for Sarah Kane. She also makes us think as she paints a vivid picture in our skulls. Great job!

Woomph! Straight away I'm hooked like a fish again! Nice relief from a tiresome day. Nice depth of structure and lines of melodiousness movement reverberating from girder to girder of rhythm. Such wonderful passion and sensuousness of expression. Profoundly moving and nicely provocative. Gaining a evocative emotionality towards the end. The second track is wonderfully intense. The presence is very strong here. Going into track three you continue to be completely immersed in this abyss of musical experience, so wonderfully and softly falling to our demise. Pain free, just free, actually free. Not just falling but floating, being slowly lowered by these deeply loving tracks of an exponential effect on the senses. Loved it.

4:48 Scene feels like it comes fom Gaiman's "Sandman" and Wenders "Der Himmel über Berlin" at the same time. Very simple and powerfull, uneasy composition despite almost soothing rhytm and voice (vhispers and guitar sound makes all the difference). 4:48therapist_scenes - Title says itself that this whole thing follows some theatrical visualisation and it sure sounds like it. 4:48end sounds like elektroshock finish. Again contrasts from first tracks in music and in voices. Drums comes like some kind of shock. Suddenly sound is full rocking sound.. Dark but beutifuly done album. Thanks for this expiriance.

SOME MUCH TENDERNESS

There is so much tenderness in those musical tracks, so melodious and ambiant, just to adress a salute to a suffering human. Psychiatric diseases are the worst of them all, because you never know where they come from, for how long they will last; but the worst, is that they extract you from 'normal" realities, exhaust your entourage, and leave you alone with yourself which is not quite yourself anymore or in someway and that you tire yourself out trying to gather scattered pieces you don't recognize. beautiful and sensitive work. thanks for sharing.
