Conway Hambone is a musical magpie for sure! this ones got it all. Northern soul,reggae,folk,funk,ska,surf and more! The Vocals on a couple of these tracks are fabulous! Lisa Dimond i think the info says, she really does turn in a great performance on Soultied my favourite one here, shame the recordings a bit rough around the edges, sounds like a long lost northern soul demo thats been down the back of the sofa for 30 years! Someone in the know should take this track and do something with it ie TV advert/chart topping single etc (give it to Duffys mates or Mark Ronson) its got all the right motown moves & cliches going on! Rural jerky worried me a bit some dark trad folk not sure whats going on there? sounds like morris dancers on Acid! V weird! Liked the cowboy ska thing sounds like enio morriconi goes surfin with some skinheads! Cuban stomp has again got great vocals from Lisa and a cool 60's pop groove & garage feel Get it on track is another with Lisa singing this one is reminicent of 70's style dub pop reggae think Althea & Donna All together some killer tracks on here! a little lofi in places but thats what is says on the tin folks!

Listening to this album is big fun - or as Jamendo puts it "open up your ears". I just don't like "Rude Cowboy" so much. All the other songs are great. My favourite track is "Blues Nun".

Oh yeah...sweet..joyous.rhythmical...fun filled... charismatic..stimulating..loving.soul filled..groovy...cool and funky..reggae-ton..folk,ska,surf, music and styles... to wrap your ears drums and drift nicely.. and perfectly.. inside your ears..heart..mind...and soul..And leaves you feel chilled..relaxed..happy and wonderful calm..Let alone lightly stimulated and happy and very content..On hearing this album..and vocals sing..such delightful therapeutic tracks..That are a bit old fashioned sound from the 50s or 60s at times to me.. But I like that a whole lot..Reminds me of mini skirts.. brill cream

Cruisin' in your Austin/Morris...trippin' to The Jefferson Airplane...ice cream...Mods, Rockers and Hippies on Brighton Pier...RANKFIDELITY conjured all these images up with it's retro sounding indie pop.(My view of England is rather quaint..ain't it me old Mucker) :)
