v 3 is a dark, sharp, 'cyberpunk' concept album, one that nearly drove me insane creating.

during this piece, i die twice, lose my mind multiple times, and angrily mock a number of things before finally getting fully unplugged.

this is my third 'solo' release, actually involving the efforts of a number of talented musicians and samplists, many of which are associated with tryad.

a full credits list is available.

i have decided to release this album under my own name due to the extent of my own personal influence upon it, how extreme and political my opinions contained are, along with how unusual the sound is, which is distinct from anything that tryad has ever created before.

my intention was to make this album disturbing, choppy, abrupt, noisy, synthetic, and unpolished.

something 'created by geeks, for geeks'.

appears to have turned out much like i imagined it to be.

v 3 is quite intense and i expect polarized hate / love reactions in response.

what do you think

frankly, i'm not sure if i could bear ever creating something like this again.

pushed myself to the edge with this one, screaming until i lost my voice, cursing for the first time on a track, and staged my own death.

perhaps now it's time to sing some 'nice' songs.... :)

oooh, my brain hurts

Something about them all sounds the same

...and the same as some other songs on other tryad albums (which I have in my media library and enjoy from time to time).. And the cussing and stuff, well, I hope you feel better. Maybe I just prefer women's voices and more uplifting tracks, I don't know.

Fine electro-rock with strange atmosphere. I like it. The third Album from vavrek sounds not so accoustic like the first two Albums and have more dark or agressive sounds. I don't think that the songs are boring, how some people here mean, but it's a matter of taste. thanx for it Kosmick

Wenig melodische und schräg zusammengewürfelte Soundfetzen, die lediglich von einigen netten Beats und Gesangseinlagen gerade noch an der Oberfläche der Hörbarkeit gehalten werden... PS: Aber das Cover ist schön!

Worth a listen, but . . .

I've heard your other work with Tryad and Daniel Laufer [just got _In Between_ and _Remaining a Stranger_]. This kind of disappointed me, as well as you did elsewhere, and I think I know why: This is a very new direction for you as you said yourself. Unfortunately, you kind of thrashed around, conceptually speaking. The biggest setback, I think, started right in "Revolt": you used a pretty simplistic meter and rhyme scheme. It seemed like your anger got the best of your ability to -express- your anger. Other songs definitely shone, though, especially "Text Toy". It was so creepy! I didn't think such heavy vocoding could do -that-. If I ever get any of that "musical talent" stuff, I won't forget that trick. But I kind of thought it would have worked better toward the end, after the revolution has been televised, turned into a meme on FaceSpace or whichever, sold at Hot Topic, and worked over for any traces of comedic / nostalgic value on Family Guy, and still the underlying societal and infrastructural problems were never addressed, even when acknowledged. I know he's from the commercial industry, but I think you could learn a lot from the development and progression of Nine Inch Nail's Trent Reznor. He's also a very smart, geeky guy who sees a lot worth getting angry about, but while in some of his earlier work, he practically frothed at the mouth [and thus didn't express himself nearly as clearly as he seemed to want to], later he kept the same indignation and sense of injustice - the same anger - but focused his head and made his message immanently clear. I think this is some music we could use more of [and not just Jamendo listeners, at that]. But I think you could use more experience in this "direction". It's a good direction, if you don't get lost in incoherence.

Good ideas, better mastering required

It's quite a bit of a jump from the first two hippiesk albums to the latest work of vavrek, but I like it a lot more. It sounds kind of industrial, but with some melodic parts in some of the tracks. It has some awesome beats - at least, if you hear it quite loud. The sounds and the song-writing is good, but another audio engineer could have helped to make it sound a little bit better. I must go through the lyrics, again. Sounds like it is going in my direction. I'm a bit surprised about the "911 was a inside job" - got to check the context, again. I thought, someone who cares about peace and freedom shouldn't talk such rubbish in 2009. Nothing against whistle-blowing, you know, I also hate "my" nation (germany), but there are lot more intelligent ways to criticize your "mother-country" (or whatever you like to call it). german: Im Gegensatz zum Hippie-Geplänkel der Vorgänger-Alben sagt mir dieses Werk von vavrek deutlich mehr zu.
