Ohne das lange Zischen hätte mir der erste Track gut gefallen. Ich weiß, das es Teil des Arrangements war – nur auf mich wirkte es störend/unharmonisch. Bei Betmamorphose fühlte ich mich an einige Frühwerke von John Carpenter erinnert, was als Kompliment gemeint ist. Bei Garden of Emptynes störte mich wieder ein Ton---dieses Mal dieses fiese Piepsen. Orange Field on Canvas – ist schön unheilvoll und bedrückend- baut sich gut auf - hätte mir nur ein unheilvolleres Ende gewünscht Setup existenz – richtig gut –hatte dabei Filmbilder von „The Fly“ im Kopf Den Schlussakt fand ich ganz durchwachsen – mit guten Phasen – aber auch mit einigen Längen, in denen wenig/nichts neues passierte Insgesamt ein gutes Ambiente-Album

Another fine release! Knew Orange Field already, but rest gives a nice calm but also refreshing experimental approach. Keep on exploring and sharing with us.

This album is absolutely fantastic. If there is one thing I had to say about likantropika (although there are many, and all of them good), it is that they don't just throw out a replicas of previous works. To me, the difference between the five albums is as clear as night and day - each with it's own unique style and flair. I love this album because it's so vibrant.I definitely think that they have produce a refined sound and are hitting all the right notes with "Moonface". There are amazing songs, songs that are emotionally deep, like : Orange Field On Canvas or Joy Drops On A Sad Mind.This album is what music and musical artistry is all about.

Das Album ist sehr sphärisch und hat beruhigende, ja fast meditative Wirkung. Die Sounds sind weich und stimmig, selbst kurzzeitig auftauchende, eher agressive Klänge sind so in die Soundstrukturen verwoben, dass sie nicht unangenehm klingen. Ein schönes Album. Danke dafür.

If you're after filtered electronic music with some spicy, acid floors added, you should try moonface by likantropika. I have not listened to their other many releases on jamendo right now but those are already added to my bittorent queue right the minute I'm writing my small review.

Haber conocido las obras de likantropika ha sido un verdadero deleite. Cada uno de sus trabajos son obras maestras de la sonoridad. ambientes exquisitos desde lo más oscuro a lo más liminoso como es el caso de grey Thinkers (EP 2) no puedo decidirme por alguno en especial. Obras como las concebidas por likantropika es lo que necesita la música. felicidades!!!!

Moonface starts with an almost melancholic layering of synth and smattering of rhythm. Then the beat slowly builds, like a slow-motion horse rider through a forest. Next, extra percussion arrives, a clapping to the chanting. Betamorphose, the second track, throbs beautifully, ebbs and flows, like the effect of the moon itself. This becomes a throbbing wildness in the background, while layers of synthetic pulsing in unison. A grounding piano levels the music out towards the centre, where the synths take over the tracks resonance. It becomes a skeleton of its former self towards the end, like a more delicate structure, finer. Garden of Emptyness is full of twittering despite its alledged emptiness, it's quite a jolly little track. Very light and easy on the ear, like it was made to fit. Orange Field on Canvas, is a flow of synthetic waves, interweaving, with a curious nature of the flow of water, sustaining those orange trees. Halfway in percussion sidles its' way into the frame, bringing the track to what seems to be a crescendo of noises and rhythms and then it leaves with a whisper. Setup Existenz has a desolate air, chilling voices on a wind of fear... Random Gods Revisited starts with ghostly growths of noise, building slowly into a big space, haunting voices reverberating around the tenuous structure. The track begins to grow as the long rhythmic loop becomes evident. Strong synthetic melodies begin to predominate. Briefly, the voices reprise and then suddenly, a new shorter rhythmic structure is there in front of you, pulling the track that has already happened along. Asserting itself with a peculiar authority and more accessible rhythmic expressions. I liked this and the packaging is peculiarly appealing so this got my attention. The genres are well fitted and likantropika has its on flair on the subject. Nice, thanks!-)
