Cool!
The Abogix (J.K.)
Wolf prowls resolutely and finds its prey, caught in the profuse undergrowth of musical manipulation. A well formed track. Mémorial is profoundly sombre, a very interesting use of what is easily accepted with a sense that you are being bombarded with a glitch in the technology. Excellent atmospherics. Strongly asserting its presence from the outset, Everybody's Outside comes into focus. A nicely fused piece of work, that maintains the aperture, leaving you with a snapshot into the mind of a hunting wolf maybe. I Have Changed, has a certain entertainment value and overall proves to be good listening.
Significant as it may be, I Have Changed suggests that we are all prone to environmental pressures. The only universal constant, it shifts suitably and teases you into a false sense of security as it goes off-kilter with the melody. Flams continues the feel of this little album, though now with somewhat more spaciousness. However, the fear of the unknown is meted out well, balanced and managing to convey its sensations without directly mimicking them as such. Fiddle presents more of a rock perspective and still retains the atmosphere that has been created thus far. I tread the slippery slopes of somnambulism, Before I Sleep. An interestingly vague perceptive state, that can be revealing. As a track, a nice warm down with piano play.
Everybody's Outside ... sublime !
