How did I ever miss this artist?!? Well now they are found and not lost to me. The miracle of folk, to me, is the journey through the soul of the poet and the heart of the guitar, coalescing into exquisite drifting clouds of desire and dream, passion and hope, and yet the ability to remain as beautiful as an angel's glory. It also gives the gift of inner understanding and peace between individuals and moments of contemplation. The woman, singing these songs has the perfect voice for folk, (one of my favorite genres) with plenty of gentleness and sweetness, yet the strength and force to rise above the guitar. The guitar being the road the artist traveled with her song, the medium of her emotion. She has wonderful tone and range. I enjoyed every moment of her singing and guitar strumming. This is one of the most perfect folk albums I have heard here on Jamendo. I wish I knew more about the artist and the lyrics. But that is only a minor detail.

Es überkommt mich so eine melancholische Wärme und Unbeschwertheit wenn ich die Songs höre! Echt gut gemacht!! Der Sound steht der Musik echt gut und schafft einen schönen klanglichen Raum zum träumen. Meine Lieblingssongs sind: Drink to forget und Sail away. Drink to forget hat eine super Hookline und Sail away gefällt mir sehr gut weil der Vers eine superschöne Gesangslinie hat die eine gewisse Leichtigkeit in einem aufkommen lässt. Musik muss ein Gefühl in einem wecken, dann ist sie ehrlich und genau das machen Sleeping Sky!

A beautiful voice that tells wonderful tales. "Summernight", "Raise" are two of my favorites from this 9 piece selection. I do agree, a bass or even a light brushes on a snare might have added an extra oomph to this, but it is still well worth the listen and addition to your folk/singersongwriter collection! Bravo, lady, bravo!

Tolle melodische Songs, schön sowas zu hören, kein Mainstream aber doch vertraut. Einmal mehr der Beweis das gute Musik nicht mehr als eine Gitarre und eine Stimme braucht. Bei "Don´t Go Away" find ich die leicht Spanisch angehauchte Gitarre sehr passend. Macht weiter so :)

I think that this is a good album because it is different than what I have listened to so far. It is something that I would listen to again because it is relaxing to listen to without being boring.

j'aime ce genre de musique folk, par contre sur certaines chansons il me semble (si mon oreille me trompe pas) qu'il y'a des problemes de justesses de la voix sur certaines notes, néanmoins c'est reste agréable a écouter.

Ein bisserl altmodisch sinds schon, die Mädels. Aber weil's sonst kaum noch einer so eine Musik macht ist die Joan Baez-Kiste schon wieder richtig nett. Mit einer Ausnahme: "Drink to forget" ist ein absolutes Juwel und eine Zierde jeder Playlist
