The tracks on "Heavy Weights" really keep their promise.
Each song has its own little world with plenty of room and its own life. And Glander takes a lot of time for these songs. The length of them seems to be unusual at the first glance but soon you'll understand that this is part of their secret.
The tracks are captivating, some even hyptnotising. Hearing them, you will move your feet unconsciously. But you cannot make out their style: There are four fourths, of course, but they are too bassy and dark to be House - and too smooth for being Techno.
Nevertheless, it doesn't matter: The tracks will take you on a dive cruise, each of them has its own little valley and its own moon. So: Take your time.

Yuki Yaki is an artists' platform in the area of electronic media.
Their aim is to make interesting works accessable to a public and to promote the artists.
The most part of the releases will be musical works.
As they do not believe in cataloguing music, it is very hard for them to put any limits here. Nevertheless they are mainly interested in music from the field of minimal techno, electronica or clicks'n'cuts.
However, the focus is always on originality and acting on one's own initiative, so the question of style becomes secondary.

Nothing makes me happier than to find that my favorite netlabel album of all time have made it's way to Jamendo. I don't know how many times i have listened to Heavyweights, but it's one of the albums i have listened to the most in the last five years (another album by Glander named Variations is the album i have listened to the most in 2011). I can't find the words to describe how much i love this album. Instead i'll just write the following: Thank you Glander for making this fantastic album and sharing it with the world free of charge. I wish i could tell you how many wonderful moments this album (and your other releases) has brought me these last few years. Best wishes from your biggest fan in Denmark :) -Johannes Fred
