The singer has a very nice voice, warm, expressive and controlled. His guitar accompanies him as a close companion and all the songs on this album were lovely, mellow and with excellent foot-tapping, head swaying melodies. The lyrics were thoughtful, and creative and the artistic expressions were typically those of good folk/guitar songs. The whole album is perfect folk, designed to be listened to for the poetry and the sweet voice and the acoustic guitar . . . and it follows through as expected and proves itself as a quiet listening moment. YES! New output of Rainman, I can´t await to listen to... The production is more contained, a superior over-all picture – voice more constantly in front, no more pushy hissing, guitars have more body, not any complaints about the sound – a whole step upwards. And, just by the way: songwriting at its best! 1. Marko It´s like returning to a good friend, all you can expect if you already listened to Rainman´s music. I mean not just repeating, more a deja-vu you like to welcome back. A fully developed music-style. Fine adjusted crunch-sound on gits. 2. Tell me not A saturday brunch song with eloquent irony leading to a "Let´s get it on"! Or did we already? ;-) 3. Inbetween Hmm, ok... 4. Parachute Wow! One of my all-time favourites, the refrain won´t leave you for the day (I like this line!). Short and firm, couldn´t be the flight a little longer before touching the ground? 5. Eyjälla Getting aswoon while travel back to the event in mind. With the synth-sounds it catches these strange feelings, which the whole song don´t disappear. But am I the only one who gets more freezing than smoking landscapes in mind? 6. Thank you This song give me the feeling like a second part of the unreleased "Gone". A retrospection on a healed wound, but makes one gulping again. 7. Sometimes "Another" fine song, giving the outlook for good finals. More deviant in style, more walking / marching, less airy and ending abrupt. Ok. 8. Close to the fears A soundtrack song. So beautiful, you need to make a nature-video about and for it. Even without - my movie is already running in mind. Thanks for that wording, fantastic work! It is impossible to write better acoustic music! 9. Take the reigns Like on every on his albums he holds back an ace for the end. Use it with the last drops of a good redwine! Or especially running down the street after ceasing your relationsship... just something like that. Appropriate "last dance". Thank you for the wounderful moments I had with all of your music! What a great forceful, strong, steady, hypnotic, very pleasant and very sweet sounding,joyous, heartfelt,truly meaningful,charismatic,dynamic, very expressive,deeply blissful voice this guy has that sings on this amazing, beautifully expressed, high caliber, acoustic guitar, indie,folk,rockish album.
