Un mélange détonant entre des sons venus de nos anciens jeux de gosse, un chouette clin d’œil au précurseur de l’éclectro « Kraftwerk », et d’une pop électro-acoustique. Y’a la total, de belles voix qui chantent dans un anglais parfait et puis y’a aussi le vocodeur ! Ca a le mérite d’être original, et surtout fallait oser cet assemblage incroyable, c’est en plus très bien produit.. J’aime vraiment beaucoup, et en plus ça a la pêche. A écouter absolument !

Álbums como éste son los que te devuelven la esperanza en la música libre cuando ya llevas un buen rato navegando por Jamendo.com y escuchando sólo música mediocre, porque admitámoslo, hay cada álbum que... Pero entonces escuchas algo como esto y recobras los "ánimos" y la "fe" en la musica libre. Os lo recomiendo

This is a fantastic 8-bit rock album. It's been a while since I have heard any really good 8-bit music. This album incorporates some amazing 8-bit sounds wonderfully with acoustic rock, and fun, melodramatic game nerd lyrics. Once again, the music is great. The vocals are not amazing, but at the same time, they don't leave too much to be desired. I felt like the tracks near the beginning were better than the tracks near the end. The album migrates towards more rock by the end of the album, but stays true to its nature. The lyrics are really great if you are in the cyberpunk mood at the moment. A lot of the lyrics are very sad if you can see past the silly videogame references. Basically, if you aren't a fan of anything cyberpunk, you probably won't be able to take this seriously, but if you are, you will fall in love with this album. The lyrics were clean as well, apart from a little profanity on tracks 7 and 8. On that note, the album cover is really great, although I would perfer it without the cartoon nudity. Another gripe I have is with the license. The license is far too restrictive. I would really appreciate being able to put some of these tracks in the background of a video. I don't understand why an artist wouldn't want the free publicity of derivative works. My favorite track is the first one, “Sad Robot”. Give it a listen to hear a good summary of this album. If you like 8-bit rock, enjoy videogame music, or are a fan of cyberpunk, you will enjoy this album a lot.

Sowas hab ich ja noch nie gehört und das will was heissen, ich war zuerst skeptisch da die 8-Bit Sid Klänge ja meist ziemliche Ohrschmerzen verursachen und sämtliche Hunde in der Nachbarschaft verjagen. Aber ich wurde sehr überrascht den was es hier zu hören gibt ist das kreativste an Musik was ich 2007 gehört habe. Eine wirklich tolle Idee, mit echt geilen Songs mit schönen Melodien immer wieder unterstützt von klassischen Game Sounds. Es plieept und piept etc. zussammen mit gutem Gesang und tollen Gitarren. Hut ab !!! Ein Zehner echt verdient.

Отличная смесь лёгкого звучания электрогитары, акстической гитары и звуков, отправляющего любого "бородатого" геймера (или просто человека, который с компьютером на ты) в далёкое волшебное детство, проведённое среди Amiga, ZX Spectrum, GameBoy, Dandy (нужное подчеркнуть). Отличная качественая музыка просто затягивает во время прослушивания и завараживает неординарным музыкальным подходом. Рекомендую к прослушиванию IT-персоналу, любителей техно, синтетики и металлистов.

Pornophonique machen intelligente Musik mit einfachen Mitteln. Das Songwriting ist überdurchschnittlich und der Sound innovativ (trotz oder wegen 8-bit Sound). Die Aufmachung ist ganz toll. Hier stimmt fast alles. Die Abmischung ist ein bißchen unglücklich aber alles in allem ein sehr gutes Album.

Al principio pensé que Jamendo serviría más a los que hacen música de forma industrial para colgar todas sus operetas fáciles. Me equivocaba, y ahora estoy escuchando un grupo de la talla de Radiohead, ¡y no he tenido que pagar a iTunes! Como se ha dicho por ahí, grupos como éste son los que te hacen replantearte si la industria (e incluso las sociedades de gestión) son tan necesarias como ellas mismas dicen. Para hacer un disco como éste no hace falta dinero; hace falta talento.

Eines der besten Alben, die ich in den letzten Jahren gehört habe. Melodie, Rhythmus, Texte, Idee etc. ...einfach genial. Und für mich die absoluten Ohrwürmer. Aber äußerst angenehme. :-) Wir haben direkt zusätzlich zwei CD's bestellt. Ich kann mich gar nicht entscheiden, welches mein Lieblingsstück ist. Am meisten habe ich bisher die erste vier Songs gehört. Wenn mal ein Konzert im Großraum Ruhrgebiet stattfindet, werden wir sehr wahrscheinlich hin gehen. Etwas kurios: Obwohl manche Texte etwas traurig sind, finde ich die Musik dazu völlig fröhlich.

Este es un disco que siempre debes tener a la mano. Desde que lo escuche la primera vez no paro de escucharlo, tiene el perfecto balance. Es relajante sin embargo tiene la suficiente tensión como para mantenerte interesado sin abrumarte ni ahogarte con demasiados sonidos. Es un disco delicado en el cual parece que cada elemento e instrumento fué cuidadosamente elegido, mezclado y masterizado. Por último y más importante, la composición y elección de las canciones. Mientras escuchamos composiciones realmente dramáticas como sad robot o lemmings in love, tenemos algunas más divertidas como space invaders y 1/2 game player o rock and roll hall of fame, pero siempre bañadas en un barniz de nostalgia. ¡Quiero escuchar más de este excelente colectivo!

This album is wonderful! I love the style, the synth sounds fit well with guitar and voice. I had a nice time listening to the lyrics, and they are easy to remember so I always end up repeating them in my mind. I look forward to your next songs!
