Beginning with a mysterious wind a trifling tension, a feeling of isolation and a moments reflection . . . the flute gives peace and comfort . . . a beautiful melody is "Highlands Murmurs." This one was my favorite track . . . "Echoes of Burn's Night" had many visuals . . . a wind, the countryside, a fire burning and crackling and people laughing . . . and a lovely piano . . . a warm and comforting place to come to . . . A mixture of ideas and thoughts as I come in from the storm, into a warm place and a lot of bubbling activity, including some bagpipes, a happy piano, laughter, drama and some high energy instrumentals with an adventurous tempo . . . "Rock the Scotch." "Over the Highlands" continues the theme of coming in from the storm, with a lovely flute, sweetly melancholic, reflective and alternative happy and bubbling with joy. Over all this is a wonderful album, created like a tapestry of many colors and feelings . .. very dramatic, full of energies and visions and changing moods. . . Each song is so changeable it is like being in an adventure . . . each corner turned is full of interesting happenings . . . Very nice! Plus + the music is beautiful . . . - Wolfsong

Merci PM

This is an exceptional work of atmospheric beauty. I couldn't agree more with the wonderful reviews already given. Both "Highlands Murmurs" and "Over The Highlands" are superb. They transported me... I felt like I was there... and I was enjoying every second of it. Heart warming and magical, Thank you!

He has captured the isolation, the bareness, the wildness, the beauty of the hills, the glens, the mountains, the valleys. The rivers that run deep and wide. The salmon that swim free to this day. And the pheasants and wild deer, that roam free and gallop and run through the glens and dales. The smell of the wild heather and moss and other native Scottish flowers.. The cold bitter breeze that can, cut you like a knife.. And the moments of pure glory as sunrise and sunset.. Come and go on this heavenly halo ground on earth..And the ruins of castles and forts. That protected use during our bloody battles in the past. From The English and Vikings and so forth. A places of beauty, wildness and the spirituality of the place of my birth.. Dear Bonnie Scotland. The choir like vocals of the orchestra you hear at one or two odd moment and the crows calling out to each other and the sheep naying.. Sets the mood, the tension. The nature of the beast. so to speak. I could picture myself. Back home, walking around those said Glens. And breathing in the cold air into my lungs. With those rosey red cheeks upon my fresh face, you get from being out in that spectacular countryside. Wrapped up snug and warm. And looking around and surveying the beauty that is around me. And thinking Wow. What a beautiful places. My land of birth..Pride and passion. love and respect for a country no man or woman can ever take away from me. A true Scot though and through...I think of burns night. And the significants of it all. And who he was.Robert Burns the man, his poems, his travels, haggis, whisky and much so more besides. To drink a dram in his honor is a honor in itself. Let alone to go to a Burns supper. I then picture the history and traditions of my homeland. And images and poetry come flooding into my mind. And the feelings of love, pure and utter contentment and love fulfill me and make me feel such pride and glory of love for a great country on earth.. Bonnie Scottish..

Once again, the mind's eye was able to create a scenario for each of these songs; from the lone person standing near a loch, eyes closed and listening to the night wind, the crows last few caws before settling for the night, and a whispering through the grasses. Another scenario unfolded with the sound of an open fire, laughter of friends as they discussed whatever events of the day, and the lone pianist noodling his way through a touch of the Romeo and Juliet love theme, before finding another way to go. It has all been said, and even from a native of the land, there's no place like home, and through these songs I felt as if I had arrived "home." Bravo, PMC!
