South face is almost glacial - subdued & cold pops and clicks laid over a faint resonance that needs headphones to be appreciated. The ocassional drone is in there too. North face is an entirely different track. Comprised of sounds harking back to a 50's sci-fi movie (read Forbidden Planet), this ebbs and flows, building up then subsiding again. Both tracks are great. I don't usually like pops and clicks but their use in the first track is understated and intelligent. Definitely ambient and experimental but not really dark. 8/10

Artfully done and well-focused. I personally believe the darkness perceived is relative to experience and tolerance. There are those that find dark beautiful, thereby undermining general assumptions about whether Mother Nature is more than a random force in our lives. Such escalations in conjunction with interfering and intruding upon nature, may have some very dire and dark consequences. Like the more rugged visitors to the Alps, I still like to believe there are some dragons hidden away in the unexplored expanses of our natural surroundings. Some respect is due... assuming there is still time.
