Great balance between percussion and instrumental voices . . . especially in the "Lake of Tears" as I am listening . . I loved the trill of the flute-like voices . . . and the smooth flow as the other instruments embroider on the movement of the piece as it plays out . . . beautiful! "The Path of Melancholy" is a poem . . . a cry for recognition .. .. loneliness . . . regarding the stark aloneness that humans suffer . . . "see me . . . I am here. . ." "Shattered Illusion" a dark and gloomy musical reminder that life is fairly hard . .maybe little rays of sunshine get through .. . and drops of hope . .. . but like a mirror . . . a dream can be dropped and shattered . . gone forever . . . They say that those who finally make up their minds to commit "Suicide" are walking outside of their depression, alone yet relieved and content in their decision . . . a ray of light perhaps . . . but not for those of us left behind . . . "Broken Heart" was a trippy more upbeat song . . . very nice with light sounds and happier melodies . .. "Autumn Storm" was beautiful and maybe one of my favorites on this album . . . Although the music was not necessarily all dark and gloomy .. .. the attitude of the album was describing a state of mind that follows those who are depressed . . . sadness and sorrow are all a large part of the human condition and we continue past the events that hurt us . . and as we grow through life we understand a little more the issues that people are facing life with. . . I wonder if the artist of this album is expressing a recent suffering of this nature. This seems to be more of a concept album . . to share feelings of depression . . . It was very creative and artistic but not what I would call Newage . . its not really relaxing as there is too much tension involved in melancholic thoughts . . . yet it has a nice flow and a good style. . . maybe it is ambient or dramatic enough to fit into a movie or video or help a writer be more creative . . .

The path of melancholy.. is a path... has been travelled and walked on,and really felt and stood on..and has had,,, many depressed ..sad and feeling lonely,confused,dejected and hurt... people really do feel it...and the bitter wet soaking tears...do run down your face and cheek.. in the darkness..when they are alone..and no one hears them cry or even knows they exist ....and the pain and feelings become overwhelming and slow but surly it takes another soul.. But to feel..really feel.. the bad things..as well as the good things.in life..is sometimes.. hard to cope with.. and understand...As not everyone, can cope well..With overwhelming feelings of lost.hurt and needs and wants..and rejections.. When you reach out.. and ask for comfort..and do not get it..that can also cripple and hurt you more..As the tears of real pain..Are often covered up..by many and other reasons..That the victim or person..feels inside..but masks them with daft and stupid other reasons..as not to feel the real pain inside..that is actually bugging them greatly..they turn to drink and drugs and even over indulge in sex..and other crazy stuff and things.. And the mask of the fake one..lives on..and the burden and pain and cruel twists of rejection..hurt and despondent fears..takes over and sometimes wins.. When the noose of life..pulls to tight and strangles the victim and takes that life from them..as that burden became to great..for them to bear alone inside..and outside this time.. And then other times..a glimmer of light..a spark of aliveness... can give hope..and a reach out from a strangers hand.. to grab hold of yours ...and a soft spoken word..or a cuddle or hug..or even a declaration of I see you..I hear you...I understand....can do wonders... is all you ever need.. to break the cycle of unwantedness...unloved..hated and despised.. break free the chains that bind you and ....the negative thoughts that control you...and make you a slave...despair and sadness that is so overwhelming and so powerful and deadly dark....and real..

Like most of new age music its had a great combination between modern and classic. Beuatiful classic style sound and melody matching with modern electric beat. very nice combination.
