Good alnum, WiWa BLUES

Du jazz comme j'aimerais en découvrir plus souvent. La douceur en fond, avec malgré tout une dynamique bien mise en avant. L'instrumentation est superbe, avec des variations de style très agréables et les pistes,d'une longueur correcte, ne lassent jamais. Du bonheur plein les oreilles. A écouter sans se lasser.

This jazzy album is wonderful, almost improvised sounding . .. Lots of sunny spots with a splashy piano . . . great beats and added instruments to add depth and interest . .. "Blue Daffodils" . .. what a vivid imagination . . . there they are, in my vision, stronger then the yellow ones because the storms of Autumn are not gentle . . . they have a way of standing upright . . . as the rain splashes down on their fine heads . .. a vitality that comes through in the music also . . I loved "Burly Blues" which had such an excellent mixture of instruments . .. especially that drum beat that flowed through . . But all these pieces have great jazzy beats . . . the instrumentality on these tunes gives a good feeling . . . I loved "Goat in the Road" which made me visualize an annoying goat wandering around, sublime and uncaring for the rest of the world's needs . . just standing in the road and eating blue daffodils from the verge .. .. These pieces were fun, unique, and warm with lots of energy, inspiring and a very enjoyable listen . ..

I really enjoyed listening to this compilation of groovy mellow bluesy songs! I now have several new favorite Truman pieces including; Jazzy You, Ascendant, Mod J Mix 5, and Goat in The Road, but I think my most favorite song here is Burly Blues ;~)! There is a very nice flow through this album. I listened to it several times in a row, and was pleasantly surprised by all the subtle shifts and mood changes. Great Job, I will definitely be back for more listens!
