I basically agree with the last two reviews. The sound is very good, proper DnB like SaReGaMa says, except it seems not to lift off, wich is a big deception to me because it sounds very good at start.
Good vibrations and improvisations. This music transmits strenght and softness at the same time. Has a faster rythm than the usual meditative/new age music, but is nevertheless very relaxing and deep. Thank you for using real and interesting instruments, and for sharing that through technology!
Tem músicas muito boas (matutando) com ritmos interessantes e fluindo variações no entanto acho que não vale a pena tentar encher as músicas com solos do princípio ao fim, aposte nos samples e na simplicidade.
No geral está refrescante e interessante, ficou a sensação de faltar algo, como se estivesse esperando que alguém viesse para cantar ou introduzir umas vozes bem sampladas. Ficaria a ganhar em maturidade se se abrisse à influência de outros artistas trabalhando consigo.
Poxfil is in this album a very classy dub, with very interesting sampling work and stimulating listening. I cannot help notice a subtle sense of humour and child-like creativity in the best sense. This could be the result of letting your inner child tampering with sound bits.
Well, I'm not a synth music fan. It gives a lot of manuveurability to the composer, but lacks an essencial part of music: interpretation! It's too bad, because the music is very well composed, but without real music player (or at least ONE would make the diference) it will always sound plastic I guess. Wich is not very New Age, I feel.
This album portraits worlds so distant that I cross with everyday, that anyone in metropolitan cities has to face and turn their face away from to keep functioning. This is revealed through a mist of sci-fi and a dose of cynism that is sometimes the only defense from despair.
Musically, this is a very elaborate work, including excelent vocals and instrumentalization. The lyrics are very original, I'm only sorry they're not included, some parts I don't understand.
Red Lion I has very energetic and fresh rythms (mostly latin and funk), I think this would be very danceable in a concert. It kinda gets you in a trance, a bit like afrobeat.
The strong points are precussion (it gets better in their second album), and a good sound edit. I prefer to hear a track at a time, because it tends to sound all very similar and repetitive, the melody doesn't really evolve and instruments don't seem to talk to each other and don't interact. Very one-toned.
