To listen to Creix sing, is to hear the bindings of a heart break free . .. and like a blind canary of the deep cave, fly slowly upwards facing the light . . . searching for a tentative freedom . . . absorbing motes of sunlight through wounded gasping gaping pores . . . desperate for light . . longing for freedom . . hungry for the bright . .

Slightly constrained, there was a tension in the drawn flesh of this music . .. under the songs are heard a writhing as if an unknown monstrosity were throbbing away, testing the strength of the remaining sorrow . .. a darkness lingers . . lurking in the shadows like puddles of ink, or black blood with glistening edges, spreading amoeba like . . . searching, reaching through the rotting holes. . . grasping . . .

Some of this music crept into the realm of industrial . . .. pounding metallic like . . . sometimes rasping against the rough corners . . . edgy with desire . . . soft with fear . . . that tension pulls at everything . . . a scream of anguish is balanced on the peaks . . . a rage of angry eagle on the threshold . .. ready to pounce against the blind canary slowly emerging from the dark caves . ..

These pieces were bright and upward flowing .. . Like the rushing sound of angel wings and the bells of heaven . . . The music is soothing and ephemeral . . delicate and beautiful . . . emotionally colorful . . with vivid mental images

I found myself so relaxed as I listened and there were points throughout the album that I found myself close to tears . . as if . . . perhaps something touched my heart with the gentle healing fingers of a celestial being . .. especially . . there were times when the bells were ringing and the piano was focused . . when I felt embraced . .

WiedergabeWiedergabe

Most of these were lovely, short, easy listening pieces . . . They will fit the criteria of relaxation, day-dreaming or back-ground music for an evening's activities . .

My favorite piece was "Jazz Mode" which had a nice swing to its laid back charm. It still continued that nice flow in the album, yet gave a slightly different flavor and nuance to the whole . . .

On a side note . . . this artist admits, in his profile, that he was at a slightly advanced age when beginning his music compositional adventures . .. and I say BRAVO! You are never to old to learn new tricks . . . and music making is an excellent accomplishment . . .

Thank you, Brian W., for sharing your accomplishments on Jamendo . . .

Grieving where memories dance through
a deeply darkly percussive piano
reverberating dreamily,
agonizingly repetitious . . .
hanging on the edge with anticipation . .
to move on . . drift away . .
the skies must be dark where these strings
pose a dirge . . . and something deep in the shadows
of the clouds trembles . . thunder . .

This music is quite appealing in its silence . . .
and nearly imperceptible sounds at times . .
it is modest and dark . . a little shadowy
with low brasses and basses and slow pianos . . .
with trembling strings . . .

It says goodbye to me . . .
peacefully . . with twilight dreams . . .
nearly motionless . .
beautiful with provocative interest
and a sense of hope in the end . .

Often you climbed up to your balcony . .
the aerie of the lone eagle . .
you sang and played your music . .
expanding your horizon
until it reached the stars . .
The Joker is wild . . so they say . .
but come to see . . . the joker is a loner . ..
creating his music
in the space of a heartache . . .
and the road to dance . . on a moonbeam . .

I really loved the dark and vivid "One by One" and the bluesy "Lift Music" which lifted me up with happy heartbeats . . . I was quite surprised at the eclectic mix of music here . . . from bright and light to dark and moody to sweet ambient . . I was enchanted at every turn . ..

Really, really pretty good . .
especially the last track, "II vole," which was so charming it made my heart lift right up into the stars . . . oh what a happy ending that must have been . . .
Let me see if I can find the story in this album . . Listening to it several times . . .because it's just so good . . . and the titles intrigue me, giving me ideas.

To begin with . . the drama of the orchestral strings dances and storms around the listener . . . bringing to mind a vision of the final days of a quest . . .
. . .. spreading out before the searching eyes a large, white expanse of cold ice and snow . . I saw a long dark stretch of marchers lumbering across the harsh cold peaks rimming this expanse of misery during this Antarctic summer . . . anxiously they were searching for their escape near the distant frozen ocean . . .Traveling by foot for days without food; numb with desperation and frostbite; and pursued by their enemies they stumbled and fell as they walked through the long days . .. Holding each other up, they encouraged each other with a beautifully warming, ethereal song . . sharing their remaining scraps of rations .. . they managed to reach the nearly imperceptible shores . .. there on a large white field they joyously found their waiting plane . . quickly boarding they took off before the troubles arrived . . they soared into the welcoming blue skies .. . .. higher and higher until they reached their mother ship .. .. where awaited loved ones . .. and all the accouterments and treasures of their civilization . . .

Great sounds, drums, flutes, voice and abundant strings . . this was a marvelously evocative music. . .

This interesting album was occasionally energetic for ambient but quite nice and usually soothing . . . There were so many nice sounds and eclectic bits added to give it a charming personality and a focus of interest . . . and although the album was mixed genre the flow was excellent . . But the music, the music kept my sensitive brain active . . .

. . . sometimes it made me feel like flying . . . soaring and floating in warm air . . . Sometimes it made me feel that I was in an alien landscape . . . with unrecognizable constructions . . . gears churning . . . machinery moving . . .
Sometimes it made me think of dark nights in the city with rain sparkling on the black shiny pavement and the streetlights holding forth with ripe cheer as I walk alone down lonely streets . . . Sometimes it reminded me of sitting in windows and dreaming as I watch an active sky . . . Once or twice, it made me feel so weighed down that I almost couldn't breath . . .Sometimes . . . always it gave me visions and dreams . . .

Although . . .there were a few tracks that were just repetitious noise . . . it was all interesting

Couldn't help but enjoy this peaceful, cool jazzy music . . . this is something that filled that spot behind my ribcage with a feeling of happiness and contentment and relaxation . .. I have been playing it all afternoon . . nice to fill in those quiet moments . . .

WiedergabeWiedergabe

Interesting and pleasant electronica . . . sometimes quite soothing ("Rebuild your Soul") and other times quite aggressive ("Deinstalling Memories") but all very pleasant to listen too . . . definitely a visual concept . . bringing emotions and thoughts to mind and quite capable of enticing creativity and dreams. The visions I encountered, on my trip through the album, were of cityscapes and futuristic explorations of mysterious installations . . .. Very Enjoyable!

WiedergabeWiedergabe

So full of interesting and pleasant sounds, drums, beats . . . cow bells, flutes, recorders, rainsticks, chuckles, dripping water (or blood) . . . demonic raspings . . . chimes, harmonicas, horns . . . and other unidentifiable objects.

I actually loved it as un-melodic as it was . . . it was interesting and had an excellent effect with a realistic surround sound (although track 5 & 6 were only left sided) . . . these were not really musical compositions . . but sounds that worked together to create a mood or emotion . . . thoughts and inner experiences . .
yet soothing in their own way . . . as anything is when it has a regular rhythm . . .

These were natural sounds and seemed to travel all over the world . . and perhaps even into Hell or some such subterranean world . . . (track 3?)
I was absolutely charmed and curious to see what would come up next from track to track. I got the impression that these were sound experiments and they were interesting for that reason . . .

Hey . . these would be perfect tracks for poetry readings . . . hmmmmmm . . . now I'm REALLY interested . . I think I'm going to download this . . . they would also be great for environmental sounds to go with expressive music . . . I'm listening to the last track now . . super experience . .. cars going by, bees buzzing through . . someone wading through water . .. a fire crackling . . . what the heck was that guy doing with the sticks . . and what were they chopping? This one actually raised the hackles on my back . . .

Its interesting to me why I am more intrigued by realistic sounds on the computer than I am by realistic sounds in my back yard .. . just food for thought . . .
