One of the sharpest examples of folk rock's 'give the public what they want' principle, Three Fishermen is the pragmatic response of unique and avant-gardistic Art Punk Band to its best album "Yard Sculpture" published two years ago.

Songs of this new album form an enjoyable ensemble of what is not skilfully this and that, but emotinally always itself. It overrides your brain and hits deeper in you. The mood is again both wistful and trippy, just great music album. The tracks are peppered with visionary playing and ingeniuos arrangements through and through. All vocal parts are powerful and sensitive at the same time.

As band's earlier works, Three Fishermen is attached to the traditions of sixties and seventies. However, this music it is not a retroactive trip or exercise, even if the album is spiced with respecting the way how things used to do. Stylistic solutions do not cover the essential fact: this is a record of great songwriters.

I am enjoying all tracks of the album, but would pick as my favourites songs like “I Can't Complain”, “A Toast” and “The Human Heart, and “Magic Ale”.

Just great stuff, highly recommended.

Du bon rock/folk, avec cependant une voix pas très accordée et qui manque d'ampleur.
Autrement, les instruments et les mélodies sont parfaits.
Continuez, c'est vraiment très agréable.

You guys make me smile--you're just so unsophisticated. Is that a washboard I hear in track 2?

Favourites: Tracks 10 A Toast and Track 12 The Water is Wide

Reminds me of the 1500's quite a bit--the Medici and the Borgias, I think it's the different instruments you're using.

Also reminds me of Homer and Jethro, the Beverly Hillbillies and all those old good times when things were simple and honest and downhome. (Yes, folks, I listen to all kinds of music--as long as it's good--and this is good.)

I'd like to hear you do 'The Log Driver's Waltz' --you'd do a great job on that (but it's probably copyrighted to death.)
