WOW!!!! reminds me a bit of tricky in his most adventurous moments though this album might be influenced it goes somewhere further. the dark feel, the magik weirdness, the sensational beats. ah this is shiver muzik, sensual and slinky, motivated to push imagination into something very ambitious. had to write about this as I won't waste time if it isn't close enough to 10 quality but this is among the lofty. luv it for its subliminal spirit of originality.

I just have nothing to say but "wow" and "awesome!"

I agree with Ivan's review here. This album is so polished that it strikes as already heard commercial stuff. But I don't agree in wondering why it is so popular. The thing with Organic Despair is that beyond references he don't try to hide (Radioheaed, Massive and so on) we have and authentic Organic Sound here. It maybe is not most original in the world but it has that particular seal in melancholic voice, play of silence and rythm choosing of instruments which we always recognise as OD and not someone else. This album is ovously tribute to influences and it does job perfectly. I like Massive just in that context. Massive Attack and Tricky leave big empty space behind them and tripp hopp as genre is using that space. OD in the best possible way.

Thanks for this

trip hip hop, i believe this album is delightfully the definition of what trip hiphop means. There are pop influences, R&B blended in with the techno-electro majority motif. the vocal sound reminiscent of a system of a down and depeche mode, both influencing with their best sounds. the r&B influences are Brandy's the boy is mine with organic despair's originality, there are both influential and reminiscent aspects of a system of a down depeche mode brandy and others but organic despare is able to present these influences in an original way without sampling or copying those influences. This album is a good investment of your time to obtain and listen to on a nice and sunny breezy afternoon having brunch with friends.

Obviously a very popular little album and generally very well liked from what I can read of the reviews, after the first few tracks I can happily concur. However, this I will say, why so many reviews in one place and not in other, at least equally deserving places.

This album has a lot of assets, but that's not unusual. Perhaps, it's a marketing drive that unfortunately falls short because we cannot view historically, i.e. the following pages after the first ten (seemingly selected at random) are not visible. Having said, that I'm here after all to be lost in the databases somewhere being assailed by those interminable 'bugs'!-)

To be fair, it has a certain air about it, but even then that is not unheard of elsewhere, so I'm still puzzled over the popularity. That implies, in terms of traffic, a busy junction, and if so, there must be a reason. It's well-produced, varied, slightly unusual and alternative, which is all fine and brilliant. But it still doesn't satisfy my inveterate curiosity as to exactly why.

I don't mean to infer that it's not deserving of heaps of praise, it is. Where people other than I see 'complex minimalism', I see postmodernism. It has a sense of things once past but with an eye to the future of what musical expression can achieve. What can one say but, well done. Nice work.

All tracks are admirably constructed and filled wonderfully well. Freedom is definitely an ace in the pack, but in a run of aces, so a good hand. Well done, with your successful popularity and thanks for the listen.

I think some songs are a little off; repetetive maybe, until you keep listening and they develop into something more, but on the whole I love this.

I love dark music, moody music and as a film maker I especially love emotive music that tells a story, and these songs speak an eternity of to me.
My imagination runs wild and my heart beats through my chest.

Brill.
