Fine Performance From an Unknown

You have probably never heard of the artist, Manicure but don't let that stop you from listening to his album, 'Gra Wstępna'.

The album is partially classified as Polish but English lyrics are prominent in several of the tracks. Both languages are sung with feeling and depth.

Instrumentally, typical Rock Band electric guitar/bass, drum kit are dominant and used to fine effect esp. the Bass. Some tracks( Track #2. 'Shoot Me') are almost a 50/50 split between vocals and instrumental-meaning each taking the lead while others are mostly instrumental--Track #3. 'Mówisz i Masz' with reduced vocals.

Each selection is worthy of mention. Listen to album and confirm for yourself.

Wlasciwie to chcialem wrzucic review po przesluchaniu pierwszego utworu i rownie dobrze mozna bylo to zrobic, bo plyta jest bardzo rowna.
Warsztat swietny. Dobry, dojrzaly wokal.
Pierwsze skojarzenie - polskie Joy Division
Drugie skojarzenie - nie wiem dlaczego - pierwsza plyta Myslovitz.
I kolejny przyklad na to ze polski rynek muzyczny i gusta szefow wytworni sa do bani.
Dla mnie ten zespol jest 100 x bardziej profesonalny niz taki sobie Feel (ktoremu rating dalbym w granicach 3,5).
Chcialbym zobaczyc ich LIVE, bo pewnie w jakims malym zadymionym klubie brzmia duzo lepiej.
Mysle ze bedzie o nich glosno.
Plyte oceniam na dobre 7, ale nie w kontekscie Jamendo (to i tak jeden z 1-szych albumow na jakie trafilem), ale wszystkiehc produkcji muzycznych.
