For a moment I forgot who and where I was as this album transported me, dancing and smiling, into the past and at once the future, to summer in the villages of Celtic lands to celebrate with the perfect essence of excitement and fascination, while a freshness and excellent contrast gave an honesty and authenticity which make the experience truly something special.
More analytically, the music is beautifully written and intelligently arranged and mixed. To call it "professional" would be an insult to the profound elegance and emotional resonance of the sound.
The combination of styles also works well, when there is stylistic change it is always subtle and refreshing and keeps the album interesting throughout.
At times in Marie Adams I felt that the violin seemed slightly out of time, or that the beat fluctuated, or some other discomfort which I couldn't quite put my finger on, but I understand that it must be very hard to play, and in fact it would be better to sound human rather than mechanical.
EDIT: actually, listening again whatever was upsetting me last time is not longer present, so my one criticism is void now ;)
Exciting to the very last second, this is definitely a must-listen album.
