SKYLIGHT

Skylight is a 36min soundscape depicting the night sky. Quite peaceful and still when you look at it, but imagine all the activity you'd see if you looked closer.

The album was originally released as Tenmado (Japanese for Skylight) in August 2004 and the last album I released under the name of Cold Sun.

Now this is what I'd call a "soundscape", and it's exactly as the artist describes - a sonic painting of the night sky. While listening, you can easly imagine the isolated beauty of the planets, the 'whoosh' of solar flares, the distant twinkle of the stars and even the buzz of all the technology mankind has sent there. "Skylight" is successful in both its vision and execution and a crucial download for all who like their ambient music with a sense of imagination. Wonderful!

We love "ambient" sounds and this "chill out" track is really a pleasure to hear it.

"Ambientology" was a bit on the naff side, but I was glad to hear the old wave-of-inspiration that made "Four Patterns" came back to make this doozy. Part ambient, part spacey - in a nutshell: 36 minutes of pure chill-out and, to chronic lager drinkers like myself, space-out!

Can't wait to hear some new stuff!
