The first song is just beautiful.. the guitar playing reminds me much of the guitarist of Anathema, which is just good. The distorted guitars should be heavier in my opinion, more 'extreme', as i think they translate the emotions much better than guitars so light. The drums are too much in front however. This track really only needs some furnishing in production.

Then comes the second track, and well, it's pretty damn corny. Well made however. The drums aren't much fun though, and the solo guitar too much in front too.

And the rest? Pretty great. I love the layering of the songs. Absolutely one of the best releases I've heard here on jamendo. The only qualms i have about it is the pop i hear in some songs, like 2 and 4. If you put your mind into creating more ambient music (that is, less percussion, which is too audible), you would come up with one of the best ambient songs heard.

There is beauty in these shadows. . .
a cool and restful place to stay

the electric guitar gives strength
and the piano gives peace . .
and there is a sweet balm in these songs
to sooth away the sorrows

One of the most beautiful albums...the music is comforting, relaxing, and down right hypnitizing! I favoured this months ago, and was surprised not to see my comments on it...how could I forget to do that for this fabulous mix of music??? So glad I stopped to listen

I wanted to listen to something new while I caught up on my reading, and I was intrigued by the dozing otter on the album cover; so I stopped to listen. I became so caught up in the first track's exceptionally fine melody and changing tune that I was enthralled. I sensed in this song a story, perhaps an epic.

I also loved "gloomy kind of love" --by the way I don't like the name of this song because it doesn't reflect the deep beauty of the melody, although it probably reflects the feelings of the artist's heart. "Remember" had a great intro with the percussion and choir and I loved the beat to this tune. All the songs on this album are exceptionally fine musical expressions.

The music on this album is crisp and rich, poignant and emotional and very pleasant to listen to. I am so glad I stopped to listen.
