Album description

"2" is the very first "long-playing" project of efiel. The concept was to involve not only instrumental electronic music, but also vocal. This project is thanks to effort of one person - efiel, who took the job of composer, arranger, instrumentalist, singer and text writer. Due to practically no financial support entire album was made at composer's private laptop, and as main recording device served microphone added as a gratis to webcam. Vocalist in dom (home), na tchnienie (in spiration) and cela (cell) is Joanna Szwej, and in wieczna zima (everlasting winter) singer is Martyna Fil.

A masterpice

This album is really nice in a twisted way. It is obscure and melancholic.

The author did all by himself and that is impressive.

Also, the melodies are really unusual to my ears and very enjoyable. The album trips me to depression and I appreciate that a lot.

On the other hand, the sound quality needs attention. Some sounds are too loud and clip on my headphones; this could be done much better if you watch the levels and use compression.

In overall, this album made it to my playlist and I'm grateful to you, the great composer/musician, for publishing it. Thank you so much for your music!

Hypnotic Tracks

When consideration that this is the efforts of a single individual, I am impressed indeed! This is hypnotic work, getting under my skin and staying there. I do not speak the language the tracks are sung in, I don't need too. The language of music is universal. Great effort, I look forward to MORE!

Dom is a lovely lyrical piece. I think it works out very well. Aleinn a ny, following on stretches its instrumental legs in a very thoughtful way. Nicely different, and already a significant achievement for a solo artist and enough to convince me, as a mere listener, that it is a welcome alternative. Kind of the epitome of what Jamendo is about, offering the prospective listener something different and fresh. Na tchnienie continues the well captured melancholia, with some nice electronics. Interesting development, that I think builds well. Foreplay evokes a poignant mood, which drifts playfully into Atari. The track then oozes with a strong instrumentality, topped off with heartfelt vocals and a well-fitting tinkling of piano. Well-made.

Despite its assertiveness, there is quite a graceful air to Second Thought. The expanse of Wieczna Zima seems to portray the soul in an everlasting hibernation. Great sound formation. Next there is yet another lovely, unique composition, with Etude. The variation and range of abilities, is very impressive. Having said that, listening to Cela there is also a sense of constancy, which is an endearing attribute in this case. Trainsporting is a lovely little musical journey. Wiatr od Morza coasts along, and imbues the elemental with the emotional. Overall, an extremely good album, displaying an adept skill in producing original and very listenable music.
