The title track is suitably psychologically airy, light and fluffy. Mental projection into the stratosphere. No Toast creeps up on you and strides by, oblivious to the listener even. Nice minimalist experimentation. Peeling is DopeVox dubstep with a space theme, that solar wind can be harsh. A Chilly Interlude manages to be just that, perfect.
Patchouli Summer starts off a bit chaotically in a tin tribe kind of way, robotic ethnicity in the form of musical expression thus. But what a summer... Rabid Meatloaf growls at you from the corner, threateningly. Nice, straightforward electronica. A Weird Chill, instantly brought Tubeway Army to mind, before the persona overwhelmed the band. It is a good track, worthy of such roots if they even exist. Nice ending.
Pick Up Your Phone next. How do you tell when someone is deliberately not answering, a keen intuition and trust in yourself. Some nice simplistic moves that produce an intriguing track, that captures some of that frustration, I think. Metal Teeth just set mine on edge, it sounds like being drilled for a root canal and drowning in your own saliva and blood. The only thing that makes this ambient is the gas. Know what I mean?)
Product of Industry sounds suitably industrious, in a simple fashion. More like the earlier phase of the infamous revolution in technology. Blue Dimension continues the thread that weaves its way through all these tracks, consistency, especially when 'experimental' suggests either talent, or having found a niche, sticking to it. I'll stick my neck out and go for the former. Apparent weakness can be a supreme strength, done right. Here, it seems to be done so. Some nice subtle variations included.
Planet Rener. Not one I've visited, but here we are its musical intepretation. It has a nice, subtle atmosphere with burbling synths and scatterings of percussion fill the space that would otherwise be a supernova, or some such celestial event. Nice healthy sized track.
Invasion of Robot-Penguins encapsulates all that that would entail. Would they swim for metallic fish only? Again, it's another marvellously huge track of minimalist electronic music, I would say to a dedicated fan of the genre, otherwise some would find it tedious. For me experimentalism is the very stuff of Jamendo and this type of music.
Finally, Space Tribulations. A strange name for a chill track but maybe the perspective against the infinite backdrop of the universe renders such a stelllar trial infinitesimally and comparatively minor. All in all, a fine album with a curious take on what it entails being chill out music. Nice stuff. Thanks.
