I like the consept very much, but technically this album is very raw. It feels like a spontaneous field recording that wasn't premeditated enough, some compositions are real messy and there's too many off-keys and off-beats...
In short - this work misses a final touch to be awesome.
The arrangements are lean, and never ever overcooked being beautifully well nurtured tunes enveloping ambience and ethno-fusion.Hypnotic sax, trickling guitar strings drive this ethno-ambient train on its tracks.....and what a ride....get on and enjoy the journey.
You where the snake charmers, and I was your snake. You held me under you gaze and I was spellbound from start till end.
On this magnetizing, worldly, ethnic, jazzy, improvised, perfectly delightful flavoured saxophone solos and beautiful hypnotic, graceful and rhythmical also compelling,Let alone sublimely intoxicating, stress free, chill out album every heard. The drum beats. resonated inside my heart and the saxophone. Just danced up and down my spine. I was transfixed and in awe with everything as I sat bewitched and dumb struck by this whole album...
This album has been the perfect, Saturday afternoon relaxation, reflection and my-brain-travels-elsewhere type of music. I needed it . . . very beautiful, very exotic and peaceful . . . a place to hang my dreams . .. and go with the flow . . .
I loved this gorgeous, wonderfully composed, very creative album . ..
I want to live there . . . in the music . . . where it takes me . . .Calm and warm!

I love this album, especially the clarinet. It's nice to find an acoustic album on Jamendo with such good sound quality.
I have to confess I have an antipathy for the human voice in music, so I know I'm biased, but it just seems to me that the singing (vocalizing?) on this recording is just not up to par with the incredible talent shown in the playing of instruments. I hope the musicians will produce more music like this, but without trying to use the human voice.
Also, I notice the cover says "Pedro Collares and Friends" but don't see any of those friends credited. Who are they?
