Au Mont Sesshu est une collection de la plupart de mes enregistrements instrumentaux "pop" joués avec une ou plusieurs guitares acoustiques (Takamine électro-acoustique et Takamine à cordes nylon) + guitare électrique (Blade de Lewinson), quelques choeurs et des effets (multi effet Boss essentiellement). Ces enregistrements ont souvent été faits dans les années 90 sur un 4 pistes à K7 (Yamaha 100) qui m'a rendu bien service malgré sa rusticité. Une minorité de morceaux a été créée sur PC dans les années 2000 mais dans la même veine d'inspiration.

Mount Sesshu is a compilation of most of my pop instrumental pieces played with: electro-acoustic Takamine guitar, classic Takamine guitar, a Lewinson's Blade electris guitar. There are choirs and specail effects (Boss SE50 multi effects. Recorded mostly in the 90's on a 4 track tape recorder (Yamaha 100). Few songs were made recently and were created with PC technology

This album, just touch my heart instantly, as soon as I started to hear, this amazing, captivating, beautiful, atmospheric-al, classical, meditative, baroque,medieval, with even touches of pop music as well heard. Lovely, vibrant,sweet, captivating music that overflows from this wonderful music, yet very talented compositions and musicians are heard on this album. let alone an album, that makes you feel good all over, listening to this very mesmerising, gorgeous,interesting music. I also loved the magnificent, pure, touches of the electric and acoustic guitars played.

Outside it is dark and dreary . . . the clouds weep ceaselessly . . .
though here I sit listening to the dance of this man's guitars
as they sing like sprites and angels . . .
like a touch of a bright beam . . .
through the mists of my dream
and there is a sunshining in my soul
where the music waltzes about . .
the storms are lifted and swept away
by this light and sparkling music . . .
so many voices, have these guitars. . .
that it is like magic, warm puppies,
and rainbows across a benevolent sky . . .
and I now fade away into these . . .
quiet yet brilliant melodies . .

This is an outstanding collection of music. Sure, there are some minor flaws, but sheesh, it's a lot for one person. Those that have done so know it!
I have my personal favorites, Mama and Balumba. Beautiful in their simplisity, and with a touch of old & new sound.

Only wish I had found this earlier. Bravo!

Oh so smooth, like velvet, like silk; so coolly beautiful. All the instruments, the gorgeous guitar, the harmony, the instruments, the melodies - I'm in love with this album. Many of the songs were pretty short which is too bad when you're really into it and then it stops. But then we are always ready for another one of Yvalain's songs. I find myself anticipating the next track with the satisfied expectation of something new and fresh. These songs have such a quaintness to them that is incredibly charming and endearing. They are also very easy on the ears and quite the pleasure for relaxed listening.

The blend of classical and pop music works much of the time. The guitar work is always good and have some great moments. The PC stuff (keyboard-like) is appropriate.

I like the spontaneity of the 4-track recording and the good technique that requires.

Nice blend of Baroque and modern music elements. Good sound throughout the album.

Right in the middle of "A trip in Germany" it sounds like a couple of false starts ended up in the mix. They tend to distract from the otherwise good track.
