Album description

This album gathers all my pieces with orchestral versions. Working on musical notation led me to make a better work, think about each instrument, give life to every single note. I used samples of real instruments, thanks to Harmony Assistant and its extension Gold. If it still sounds like "midi" instruments it's due to my lack of experience in this kind of programming. I would be pleased to provide my midi files to every one able to make a better sound. Please contact me. Of course my dream is that this music is played by a real orchestra. I'm conscious that this would require more work but I'm ready to do it in such a case. The album title refers to "barocco" style. One should understand that this is to describe a state of mind rather than to refer to masters such as Bach or Vivaldi

Not your modern music, nonetheless this album has stately yet light and elegant sounds throughout all the tracks. The music is elaborately ornamental with the expressive dissonance of Baroque. Some tracks you just melt into such as "Cujus Animam (Stabat Mater part 2)." Others I loved for their percussions such as in "Sonate 1 Prelude part 3." I was impressed with the variability of this type of music. Each track had an enticing beginning whether somber or lively or both at the same time. This unique and lovely music is worth listening to for a variety of qualities and is useful as a background sound for many vendors and venues.
By the way, I did download this album.

It's difficult to achieve a realistic orchestral sound with electronic instruments. While I tend to agree with ElianaHephzibah I think that this artificial electronic sound of the instrument gave it it's own distinct feel.

I particularly enjoyed the last track, Pro peccatis (outer space version) bonus track. The computer voice is eerily attractive and oddly sweet. I downloaded the album after hearing this track.

I'd love to hear more tracks like this one.

While I'm waiting for the exquisite music is played by a real orchestra...
I'm glad to listen and enjoy it in Jamendo version.
Prelude part 3 is wonderful!
Thank you for sharing it with us.

'Baroque Mood', is the Parent Album but this is a Review of One of its Selections, 'Sonate #1-Prelude Part 3' which is a Baroque-Contemporary Classical, Instrumental work.

The Average Listener may think of Percussion-Only as "Drums" and nothing more when in fact, keyboard instruments such as Piano, Celeste, Harpsichord are in the Percussion Family. Perhaps less surprising, Xylophone, Glockenspiel, Hammer Dulcimer and Marimba are also included. I point this out based on what the Listeners can expect to hear.

A Orchestral Drum Cadence does indeed start the piece. The Voice is Higher Pitched than Timpani but the Feeling/Tone is so similar that I call it "Orchestral" because as Baroque as it is--there is a Distinct "Primitive"-Tribal Quality about it. Synthesized Woodwinds provides the Melody briefly then a Metallic Voice that resembles a cross between Marimba and Celeste joins in. In fact no fewer than 4 Equally Dominant Voices-the majority being Percussive can be heard as the track progresses.

The Non Percussive Synth Woodwind really truly makes a Sharp Contrast between-Rhythmic Pounding and Flowing Notes but the combination creates a highly Contemporary and Original Composition.

I really liked the compositions that were put together. Very nice classical pieces. However, the keyboard/software used leaves something to be desired. The tinny, midi-sounding selections were just really distracting and so I had to work to appreciate the very skillful and creative compositions. Would like to hear more from this artist, if another, more realistic keyboard was used.

Beautiful composed and performed for us, this instrumental, precussion, string instrument, classical, piano, zen like, mediative, baroque of enthereal, touching, inspirational, choir like vocals, and blissful, heartfelt music. That is timeless and very enrich for our minds and hearts. Let the softness and caressing of this gentle music, reach inside you and fulfill you like it did me. It Makes the sunshine, shine in your heart and soul. As this very easy to listen to. bewitching, mesmersing music. Comforts you and make you reflect on times gone past and how times now move so fast, we dont take the time to stop and think at times. unlike what this exceptional master piece makes you do. stop think and take it on board and truly saviour it.. For it elegance. refinement and class that shines so bright like a candle in the night and gives comfort hope and love..

It sounds very classic but also new.
A nostalgic air is also felt in most of the tracks.

How refreshing to hear baroque music in this manner. I have always enjoyed baroque music and this album does not disappoint! Extravagant, fluid and elegant like a fine strand of pearls. Most relaxing and reminds me of simpler times. A lovely album with excellent and varied orchestration. Very well done my friend Yvalain! Bravo!!

I love Baroc music but I did not even bother to download this.

It sounds like audio mush. There are no dynamics and everything flows into everything else without definition in the time domain.

I am not going to give this a star rating as it unfair to do so without actually listing to it all.
